View attachment 606718 I was given this 2.3 today as payment for fixing a trimmer. Was told the saw runs but doesn't oil. Got home pressed the oiler about 25 times and it started to oil. The more I worked it the better it got. Can someone tell me when the stopped making the saws with manual oiler. This saw was Gona donate its P/C to my 2300 but now that the oiler works I'm just Gona run it.

Thank you for the info sir. I did fuel lines and carb kit on a 2.0 about 2 years ago for a co worker. Since then iv picked up a 3400,2300, and that 2.3. I have a lot to learn about these older saws but I'm working on it.So you know James, that Craftsman is a model 25 and parts won't interchange with your 2300 Micro. the Craftsman also has an auto diaphragm oiler as well as a manual oiler. The diaphragms of many have done bad over the years and won't work. There's a thread on here somewhere showing how to rebuild those diaphragms if you aren't able to find one. I think @hotshot posted it. The Micros never did have a manual oiler and the 25 variants all did as far as I can tell.

Those are the ones I use. Seem to work great, though I did take a tip from ModifiedMark to champher the sides of the case boss before installing. Makes it easier not to get hung up.Well I got my crank seals ordered finally, guy said direct ship from National, showed only 147 seals left in their inventory, seal number 253747.

I've been wanting a 25CVA for sometime but around here they either go for more than I want to spend or are too far away. I have a line on a Craftsman like yours except this one has anti vibe on it. The seller seems odd so it may fall through. I hope to get it this weekend.
The older Poulans have a good following and are great machines. My first one was a 3400.
I have 2. one red, nice shape, runs, no av. one green, av, nr, fires w/squirt, looks used, but still decent. offers/trades?
I gave the red cva to a friend that owned one when he first started his tree company. Traded a blue and green no av for some rear handle newer plastic saws. Still have the wiz cva project and a yellow 2.1 runner (need outer cast muffler cover). Will trade or go cheap. No longer into series. If interested Tim or others.

Just ship it to someone that lives near the border where there ain't no fence and have him drop it off and just walk over and pick it up.
