I have made a sloppy wood fixture to slowly turn a motorcycle tank. I used some stone triangle burnishing media and naptha solvent I had access to. Sand or black beauty blasting media turning would do it .

An old friend of mine had a body shop and had a paint shaker, but when he passed away, the shop closed and most of the equipment was sold. I was gonna try that and bb' s in my 5200 but ended up doing it by hand. Took forever to get that crude out. I also sprayed a little aluminum acid cleaner in a few times for about 1/2 a minute then flushed it out and let it dry for my finish step.

Good color match. What kind of paint is that? The paint and hi temp clear coat I used on my build isn't doing good. When I put the bar nuts on, paint started popping off. I think I should have given it a good primer coat first.

The paint is the lime green from 70 dodge or something that the auto supply store can put in a rattle can, worked good and easier than a paint gun or my air brush. I'll clear coat this weekend with a satin finish, don't want to make it look better than the rest of the saw.

Here in Vermont working on my craftsman 3700. Dang it don't have a duckbill valve or fitting for the tank vent. Tried the screw t trick but I can't seem to suck air through it. I assume thescrew goes outside the tank.
