Thread pieced together from a longer one I did.

Trying to take stock in what I got as runners in the 49cc - 54cc poulans with mag cased. The tagged 49cc is sold.
Any of the others can go except for the one dad bought new in 1993.
Also think I just found a parts saw with a good 330 380 3750 3450 pulley. So may have one more left.
Now trying to figure out what I want to build next.

I thought I had 5 of those black with blue decal 54cc ones. Found the first one I ever bought of those hiding.

5 runners. The last 4 were bought for parts for the first one I bought. But all just needed minimal work to be runner again too.

Yep another good pulley. This was a 380 60cc I sold carb and topend off of. But had used a 330 recoil testing it out year back.

Betting I just found a HDA137 carb. Forgot about this 380 I never fixed. Will know for sure in a sec. could be a 164 but all 380 I have seen had 137.

Hot dang it is the better of the 2 big carbs. HDA-137

I need a bar side case half to put another together.

.I got a nice 330 crankcase with crank and seals and some other stuff on it still. One seal has a dent so think I would replace or pressure test it. Think it is 2nd from right
Thanks, but likely more than I would want to spend. Just need a case half, clutch cover and starter pulley, as the one I have has half the metal part broke off. Two new top ends left over from where I put 60cc jugs on a couple. Toooooo many sawsssssssss.....

Still have a couple PRoMac 700's to go through and an Echo cs600p with a cooked p&c.

Well with some time got one chain nice and sharp. It was the hardest being a full comp 24” bar chain. Have 2-20” chains and 1-16” chain. Contemplating getting a cheap harbor freight sharpener for the heavier duty sharpening. I have a dremel sharpening kit but it eats the grinder wheels. But all of my chains needed a bit of work as I hadn’t really been doing it right hence the cutting to the right.

Your 2nd 4000 is sweet! Did you do the double barrel muff mod on it?

Those stopped a lot of Wells Fargo stagecoach robberies back in the day, lol.

Thanks and yes certainly did and it sounds bloody good. Real happy how that came out. Todd's shining cylinder fins too its a dam fine saw all round. Can only imagine how nice a 5200 must be

So I learned a lesson the other day. Cut a tree with a hard lean and it split into a barber chair. I was nowhere near when it split but I did a typical back cut. I’ve been kicking myself thinking I should’ve kept the saw in the tree another 2 seconds or so to cut it more but realize now I should’ve cut it differently. Luckily it’s in the woods and not in an area anyone is going to be. I’ll probably bore cut leaners in the future but I found some stuff talking about a tripper hinge where you do 2 vertical bores parallel to each other behind the hinge. Can’t find much on that though. I have some leaning long pines that a bore cut may not work as they just aren’t big enough. Live and learn. No one got hurt and the tree for the most part came down safely.

I've never seen a red Craftsman 2.3 in the countervibe frame setup, I'm sure they will come out of the woodwork but I've just never seen one. Anyway, I bought the countervibe frame and tank setup off JRP on ebay for some other parts a while back I think I negotiated $20 sent to my house. Anyway, used a couple of parts on another build and still had the bulk of the frame. Well, a 2.3 came up for sale locally that I couldn't pass up for the price and went to check it out. Dirty as you can expect without the top cover but functioned, sparked, and ran with fuel squirt. So, will need a top cover and a lower isolator/vibration rubber mount. (edit: Just to be clear, the engine came out of the frame on the right and is going into the frame on the left. Second pic is post engine swap.)
This Craftsman countervibe 2.3 also has the top handle trigger release setup which I haven't seen on a regular green Poulan xxv countervibe. I'm always impressed to find more different versions of these saws Poulan made. Anyway, need to dig thru my diaphram and fuel pump gaskets to get the carb finished and I believe another Poulan red version will come to life. Then, I'll have the old carcass to box and store probably giving me reason to bring home another project.

Big thanks to hotshot and OhioGregg for helping me out with the mystery Zama carb.
Just waiting on stuff to arrive in the mail, but I'm sure once the new fuel line and carb stuff are on the 3800 will be good as new. The saw is in otherwise great condition and readily wants to run when primed.
