Looking for a quick sanity check on this 3800 of mine.
Trying to get this clutch off so I can replace the crank seal, but the clutch is just being impossible. This one is reverse thread, right?
With the piston stopped via cord in the spark plug hole, I've been putting a socket on it and turning/providing shock force with a brass hammer, but it just isn't happening, not even with penetrating oil.
I could put more force into it, but I've already reached the point where I'm afraid if I go any further it's going to damage or break something.
Any thoughts? Get a brass punch and try that? Use heat? Is it actually normal thread?
