Man, they sure are proud of them. However if they fit and are in stock, a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. Actually with shipping the cost is pretty similar, now that I think of it.
Bob

Last time I ordered things from Sears parts direct or whatever they call it, shipping was more than the parts, the parts fit in a padded 6"x4" envelope, and the keepers for my impact and o rings for same were about $8. So I'll bet that seal from Sears will cost more than the $8.00 one.

Yea, if you bought one it would. You have to buy several to reduce per unit shipping cost.

Chain brake transplant for Craftsman 3.7 (poulan 3700/3800) finished

Finished, less paint.

Pushed the pin out with the vice and dowel. Tapped it into the new cover. Easier than falling off a log. ( I way overestimated how hard it might be)
Here it is. Oh yes, and it brings the chain to a stop REAL fast.
For the extra couple of $, I am happy. Burning some of my PP180 wood behind it. Next year it will be 3400/3800 wood!

A well built 3.7 CI saw with chain brake, for $80: this hopefully will quiet some of the Poulan naysayers around my area up here.
If not, well, they can buy their own wood.

You are preaching to the choir in here, son. Followers of this thread know that Poulans can do the job, even the so called junk Wild Things. And you are correct, swapping them over when you have all the parts is easy. Winner winner chicken dinner!

This might be the wrong thread but does anyone have any info on the Dayton 3Z192?

Yeah I think your in the wrong place as that Dayton number does not come up in any of my Poulan cross reference's.

I even done a little google search and theres not much out there about it. I think it might be a rare saw though from what little I turned up on it. Chrysler power no less.

I would suggest you post a photo of it in a new thread in the general chainsaw forum.

I myself would really like to see it.

Hi Mark and Jeff good to see you both are shoveled out and kickin...

will do! I didn't know chrysler was ever in the chainsaw business?

pics from the auction, it seems the fella wants an awful lot for it, although I guess it is pretty rare.

It's about ready for paint but want to partially assemble the 306SA as well so I can paint them all at once.

Of course that project looks great and we expect nothing less from you!

Someday I will paint a saw too...(oh and get a plow truck but I spend all my funny money on chainsaw parts)

:givebeer:

And as a matter of fact he did come by today and brought me a Micro 25CVA. :rockn:
