Picked this one up recently. It was high on my wanted list.
If that saw runs anything like the one I had the only way to explain it is that it's an ABSOLUTE ANIMAL! Great find Steve!:msp_drool:

Great find! That 505 is an awesome saw and pretty desireable on here. Looks like it's been worked but that's what their for right. Hope ya can find a chain brake for it.
Do they both run and did ya get a decent deal on them?
YOU SUCK! :msp_thumbup:
I agree with Brian, Steve..You suck
Not really...I think thats one that is high on a lot of Lists. I sure hope you have room in the truck for that bad boy, come GTG time..LOL
Great Looking saw Steve!!!

the guy i bought them off of said the 505 runs. he says the 365 runs too but it idles erratically. havent had time to really look at them yet. picked them both up for $250. i know the 505 is similar to the jonsered 2083. but what is the 365?
got 3 projectsaws done tonite the one 2.1 craftsman thats was giving me such a hard time i took it all apartso i could get at it the other day replaced the o-ring and used a permatex gasket sealer i used the other day on my trucks water pump grey stuff seals real well!!! let her sit for a few days fired her up pumped the oil boom she was spurtin!!! and the then the auto oiler kicked it also!!!
swawaped out point and did fuel lines on one i got from joe25da she purrs nice old blue 2.3!!!
then i found all my parts to that 3.7 clutch man that took alot of searching!!! im stubborn! put it all back together yanked out the muff screen tuned the carb im still gonna rebuild it but she fired up and after running awhile runs pretty good! i may see if i can find a simple way to modd the muff on it seems like it has alot of power as is but i keep hearing about how it makes a big difference! just gotta find a no weld method!!!!

Yup. You hit a home run Steve!
Believe PP 365 is similar to Poulan 3700. 3.7-60cc saw
I picked up this 306A today with a group of other saws. It is sporting a 28" McCulloch bar which is about 8" too much. Not only is the saw not strong enough for that much bar, but it makes it REAL nose heavy.
Here is the other stuff that came with it....

Just makes me sick looking at scores like this that's all I can say! This area sucks for scoring good/deals on saws. I'm thinking about telling the wife we need to move so I can find some deals on saws lol!!!
Great score BTW
I finally got this S25CVA out to do some real work today. I dropped, limbed, and bucked about 8 Locust trees with it in my front yard. Unfortunately, the ignition trouble is still there. I must have a bad coil. Take a listen and see what you think.
BTW, this was the 8th tree this chain had cut, and it had touched dirt.

Yeah Brad that saw is definitly breaking up, she has good power though considering. Is it electronic ignition or points??

It was points but I put a Nova module in it yesterday with no improvement.
