Yeah, Bob. Been extremely lucky lately and right now I owe my soul to the company store. The resident "CFO" has me on an extremely paltry budget. :msp_rolleyes:

That maybe at this time, but I would gladly have to cut back for a while for that one. Thats a beauty, I'm happy for you.

The 375 is based on the 3700. The 365 is the earlier version of the 380. Pure poulan, no jonsered pioneer or partner in the 365.

Yes it is at that and a pretty darn good one as well.

I picked up this 306A today with a group of other saws. It is sporting a 28" McCulloch bar which is about 8" too much. Not only is the saw not strong enough for that much bar, but it makes it REAL nose heavy.

Well its at least 4" too long anyway. I used to run a 25" hard nosed on mine when I had to. I'm not sure how that McCulloch bar is getting any oil to it. Those oil setups are completly different then the Poulan bars.

Nice pickup on the Homelites.

I think it will kick my 401s azz!
I think you are running about 2000 rpms faster than it was ever meant too!
I think.................................................I'm gonna like it!!!

Mike

I've ran a few of these little saws, and non of them ran like that!:jawdrop:

I widened the exhaust and rear transfer channels. There wasn't anything I could do on the intake side. The hole through the reed cage was already as big as the carb venturi. The other S25CVA I have is all stock, so will be easy to compare.

Gave away my last coil :(
i find the hi speed hard to tune on them, when you put the cover back on it richens them up a bit, something to check thats easy anyway.
well,i'll give ONE more good look under the shop tomorrow for a coil...seems i had more of them than i found last time.

Thanks. It will have to be off a points saw, since the bolt pattern is different.

Hey My Hero Steve you just keep findin the good stuff and hollar I'll bring the Bankroll Man up and we'll have your back. We need to buy all we can quick LP lost his job and we got to get um till he runs out.

why not?

I do a Poulan 2000 is electronic coil, not sure how that would work out.

I'll try to get it dug out in the next day or two and get it coming.

why not if ya changed the flywheel out also thats what i was trying to say i bet it would .. i may see if it will work just for chits and giggles!i still have that coil and i have a fly wheel to boot! unless the flywheel from a 25da electronic ign saw wont fit a points saw .... i will see if it does in the next day or so i know it worked on a s5da saw but it was originally a elc ign so i will try it if nothing else its fun to try!

why?

I believe that you will end up calling it a piece of junk that won't run!LOL

Mike

ok i will bite why? the onlything that would make it not work would be the flywheel not fitting right? im trying to remember what the shafts look like I know the ones with points are angled and have a key to lock it in place but i got one running the other day with out the key just had to line it up and tork it down.... why mike you know if the shafts are different? i will find out tommorow we dont all have lighted work areas LOL not yet any ways! if they are let me know now so i dont waste an hour of time tommorow *L*

That's not going to last.

here i s a copy paste!from this site...

That's not going to last.

On what model of saw? Most Stihl saws just have a slot n the flywheel hub and a smaller slot depression in the crank stub. Some Husqvarna saws have a moulded in key in the flywheel that lines up with a slot in the crank stub. You actually don`t need a key in place in a chainsaw, it only aligns the flywheel to the crank to get spark at the correct time. Align the flywheel and torque down the retaining nut, the taper in the crank and flywheel are a very tight fit and they will stay aligned without the key if the nut is torqued properly.
Pioneerguy600

Pioneerguy600 now this guy seems to know his stuff i looked up if you need it and read alot of threads as i was worried it may move under stress... then i found this and a few others saying its only to line up the flywheel im not worried its not one i would use much its the blue one i got from joe 25 da 2.3 craftsman power sharp neat lil saw new fuel lines and carb clean and rebuild.... and redid the points....it will spend its time on a shelf anyways...

What is the heart with the #6 at the top right corner of this thread? I read what was posted beside the names but don't know what the heck it's for.
