Don't pull the jug on a saw that is pumping 165:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:. Waste of time. Show us a picture of the clutch cover, also the epa tag will tell you what size it is, looks like 46cc's from here. That is a nice saw for $20...I have done much worse.....:msp_unsure:

Your camera probably has a macro setting that you should use for close up stuff, it looks like a little tulip flower on all the ones that I own. You might want to try that setting.

I'll get a better pic. I have no intention of pulling the jug, I don't need to know what it is that badly. And I can't seem to find an epa tag...

Looks like a 2900 from here, nice find for the monies.

Yeah, for 20 bucks I can afford to put a coil on it and play around a bit. It's in really good shape.

Looks like the updated version of my 2900 with chain brake. Most of these saws had a sticker with all the identification numbers. They did adhere very long with gas being spilled on them.

Those saws will surprise you and can be made to run very strong if you want to put some time into it.

nice Kennedy toolbox Chris : )

Nik, I got that at the flea market. Guy wanted $10 and some boner was arguing trying to get it for 5...

I just handed him 10 bucks and walked away with it. SEE YA...:msp_thumbsup:

Nice! My Mom got my Dad a toolbox just like that from Sears in 1977 or so. He still has it. MUCH higher quality than almost anything you can buy now.

That's the part # that Poulan lists on their website.

Seems cheap enough at $18.63.

The P/N should be 530012072 for cylinder (for solid state - not points ignition). There is another number 530012264 which may be a kit.
The price of $18.63 tells you that the part number on site is wrong. You couldn't buy a plastic cylinder for that price.

You saw is almost certainly a 46cc displacement (probably 2900 as mentioned, but other numbers were used also) with that compression. Seeing you have most of the muffler off, it is easy for you to determine what it is. Just stick a thin dowel thru the exhaust port and get an approximate measurement of the bore.
The 36cc engine is 38mm (1.496 inch), 40cc engine is 40mm (1.575 inch) and the 46cc is 42.67mm (1.680 inch). There is enough difference between the bores that you should be able to determine your engine size.

Well....hopefully the part # was correct since I've already ordered it.

These folks had it advertised for $ 18.63

M&D Mower -- Search results

So far...they haven't called me back saying it is incorrect or that they don't have it. But we'll see........

If you go to Poulan's site and look up the IPL for an S25DA and click on the part # for the cylinder it says that 530012264 supersedes 530012264. Can't vouch for whether it's right or wrong. Guess we'll find out when OP receives his cylinder.

the quoted text is shown slanted, since my "drawing" was made with text symbols when the reply slanted them it made them look goofier than the looked to start with :msp_mellow::msp_mellow:

Text symbols, no wonder I couldn't find anything like it on this 7 or 8 year old computer.
Actually, I did find something that would work, front and back slash and capital I letters. On wordpad the capital I doesn't have the little crosses at the top and bottom.
