Ok, here is the big green one.

I thought this deal was dead a week ago but it all turned out well. I'm pretty happy to find this one, I doubt a nicer one could be found.

I also in this deal was able to secure a NOS 30" Poulan branded Windsor bar for one of the 5200's

Either my new camera sucks or I need to learn to use it better. The color is not coming out right. This saw is brighter and not the light colored green that its showing.

Mark either turn the flash off or set the flash to flash quickly a few times so not to drown the color out. I know exactly what you mean.

Here are a few of my Poulan saws. I have been enjoying looking @ your saws and thought that I would show a few of mine. All of these saws have not been refreshed - they all are "as shipped" from factory with age and handling wear & tear. Some diecast saws: the 252 & 5200 (& possibly 4400) will be restored when I get a chance. The 252 was partially disassembled and parts laid together for photo.View attachment 183888 some sandcast Poulans: this helps to show the size difference between the one-man Poulans.

Very nice bunch, your taste run alot like mine! :msp_thumbup:

Interesting that your 252 has a turned down stack muffler. The IPL's show that on the 744.

I'm not really into the sandcast saws that much but would like to find a 53A, 91 or 92 sometime.

I like the picture of the 6000 next to the 8500 as it shows just how huge the 6000 is.

Thanks, I'll look into that to see if I can.

DANG Guys!!!

Those sure make me ashamed of my old junks!
NOS saws make me weak in my knees.
Great pickup on that NOS bar too Mark!

Mike

Don't give me that, you got some nice old junks!

You also have a few up your sleeve you old dog you.

Speaking of bars, I forgot to mention that I picked up a couple new 16" roller bars in what I think is a Poulan mount from ebay. They should go good on a couple of the older ones like the Aldens 361 or maybe the Ridgid.

The seller has a couple left but he listed them as a Mac bar which I believe is wrong.

Moparman, that is a great collection of saws. I thank you for the pics.

Mark, another nice find for sure. you've been on a roll lately finding saws and bars. You and moparman could have a contest on whose 6000 was used the least. :msp_biggrin:

Yes, Pauls is a fine one also!

His is the later S6000. You can tell by the style of the rear handle.

WOW!!! I couldn't have said it any better Mike. Comparing my meager Poulan collection to ModifiedMarks & moparmans, is like comparing a .22 cal single shot rifle to a .50 cal. M82A1 Barrett!!!

You guys have Poulan collections that make me Green with envy.:clap::clap:

Congratulation on your finds - both very nice. 6000 saws didn't look any better than that fresh out of the box.
I'll send you info on bow.

Hi again everybody. I went and got that poulan, the guy said he wouldn't take any less than $20, but I bought it anyway.:D

I only have a crappy camera....

165 psi, pretty happy with that.

This one didn't turn out, but the piston is mint, not a scratch. Guess I lucked out this time.

Now...how do I figure out what I got without pulling the jug? All it says is 'super clean'. Is there a model number anywhere?

I would rule out a 2775, they came with a rolled muffler, I'd say 2750, 2900 or mabe a 3050, have'nt seen many of those though. With a chain brake I'd say 2900 type 2 and up.

poulan 4900 countervibe (fair price)

Can I get some idea's of what a poulan 4900 countervibe is worth??
Only thing wrong is the trigger is broken. Broken piece is missing. Has good compression. Looking through muffler, piston and cylinder NO scoring. No bar or chain. Had a homelite 20" bar. Put a little gas in through the spark plug hole. 2nd pull engine started up. everything looks to be stock. good shape. Came with a bunch of other trimmers I purchased.
Just want to recoup some of the money I spent.
any help---thanks

Wanted........Rings for S25DA

Title says it all.

I cannot find a pair of rings for my S25DA. Part # (530029391)

Tried four places now...only to have them call or email me back saying the part is NLA. :bang:

I have a new piston, cylinder and all gaskets coming, but obviously I am dead in the water without rings.

Anyone have a source for rings or have a pair they are willing to sell.

Thanks guys,

Flint.

Gregg,

I'll take that as a compliment!

Too bad were not at your place today, but its probably for the best.

The weather today was raw cold and rain all day anyway. In other words it sucks so I went ahead and went to work today.,

Damn mark that thing is a beauty. Welcome to the big dolmar club.

I say big Poulan club. :msp_biggrin: Big is the word though, this thing weighs a ton.

I knew that you would like this one

Thanks Paul, I wasnt thinking that this one took the 2 piece bow. I think I remember the one on ebay but didnt think I would need it.

I'll keep looking.

It's a 2900, it looks EXACTLY like mine.

It also looks EXACTLY like my 2500 except for the brake.

Is this the color we were looking for Mark?

Your new saw is a beaut man. I'm happy for ya!

Chris

Chris thats closer to the real color then my photos anyway but still not quite there yet.

Thanks again.

Here’s a pic of the 3400 I was talking about earlier. My daughter broke our camera and the new one came in. There is also a 10-10 in the pic that I have to install the brake on, which was missing when I bought it.
