anyone know how to make this thread a sticky again?
If I knew and had the power...I'd sticky it with epoxy Nik.
Gregg,
anyone know how to make this thread a sticky again?

With my Droid X it was actually easier to get to this thread because now if it's not on the front page and I have to use the combined thread sticky it now goes to the first page instead of last page and it takes longer to get to the last post, sorta shot his self in the foot is you ask me......
On the stock WT muffler the outlets are two small gills on the back of the muffler. They're closing those off by hammering them down and brazing them shut. I left them there and add a small gill, but my area is probably half that of a 1" pipe.eh, i gotta spread it around... ou1
I can see the conduit.
what are you stamping and welding?

Nice saw Joe!! Where did ya find the build date on the 395? I can't recall seeing a date on my 375. And, like you say, it has a Zama carb on it. I'll have to go look it over again..lol. My memory is slipping.. I don't remember what year the Poulan Pro name & colors came to be. I was thinking 1990 at the latest. In simple terms, I don't know when the 4000 was last made..LOL
Gregg,
Joe, according to what I got the 4000 was discontinued in 1988. The PP395 was introduced in 1988.
Interesting. They must have started making parts in late '87. What year was the 3700 made till?

I got this saw in the winter as a runner in a trade. It ran pretty good, nice clean P/C and good compression. I did a test cut and put it away. Right now Im waiting on parts for 2 other saws (a whole different fiasco with my dealer) so while waiting I decided to pull this one down and give it a quick inspection. I pulled all the covers and gave the saw a good cleaning. I did not rebuild the carb as it ran/started/cut fine. The fuel line was hard as a rock so I replaced it and the filter. Now for some facts. This saw has the factory brake, It was built in 1987 which raises a few questions namely was the 4000 sill made in '87? It also has the walboro carb, not the zama as some do. It has a 20"carlton on it thats in good shape. Ill have some cutting soon and Ill be using this one.

Good looking enough to see again. Hows married life, Joe?
1980-1983 is what it shows for the 3700. The 4000 was 1983-1988.
Can you explain that further? I didn't really understand what you were trying to say.I use the saw to keep the cylinder warm, and exhaust flowing in a circle is so 1995 or so. If you do it on the inside, you can really screw it up and no one is the wiser.

Well, I go away for a few days and look what happens - someone loses the Poulan thread. At first I thought it was all the pain killers they gave me but nope it looks like the glue has come unstickied on this thread.
What happened? Have we been naughty?
Al.
Thanks Gregg. The date is under the air cleaner cover. My newest to me 3400 (craftsman) has '84 stamped on its cover. The yellow/grey is not one Ive seen as the pp 335/330s and others in that class were black/yellow. Maybe '87 was the last year of the 4000 and mine is an early model 395. After all the 3700/4000 were pro saws. The FP 375 does have the advantage of the heavy duty pawls and intake tho.
