I used a lot of trot lines in my youth but these days I can keep the family fed with a baitcaster.

Kinda glad I don't have the money for that one... I'd be faced with the decision of whether to keep it NEW. or to run it.:dizzy: I'm afraid I would just run the thing. I couldn't resist.:msp_sneaky: Think I would take a few pics, then go stick it in a big Oak.

Gregg,

Yeah, Gregg, us po folks just get to live vicariously through the ones who have the means to buy those NOS saws. I'm with you, I'd hate to have that decision. Last night I was figuring I'd light it up, but this a.m., well I don't know. Sorta like driving a new car off the lot. It just got real expensive driving that first few miles.

Gregg,

Same here Gregg. Too nice to use. Glad I have my beat up one.

Wanted to give out a Big public Thanks to Mark also. He gave me this 4000 air filter cover the night of the Poulan GTG.
Just shows what a great guy he is...or he had to many Miller's around the fire that night! :D:D:D

I was lacking the proper filter cover on my old blue beast. Been using a 3700 type on it. This dark gray 4000 cover looks much better!!! And can use the better filter also. Thanks again Mark!! :msp_thumbsup:

Gregg,

Nice collection. Looks Like I need to brush up on my skills on how to find them.

Finally found a NOS Poulan sprocket nose (banana style bar) in 20" for my 3700. Have seen 16"s occasionally, but not 18 or 20. Just thought it makes a saw look more original.:)

Gregg,

Nice 3700 there Gregg, I wish mine had better paint, to go along with a completely rebuilt saw.....:frown:
I actually have a Stock 20" Poulan bar on mine but it's not a banana bar, it's the newer black type with green poulan on it.

Thanks Dave, I think the bar you describe is one I'd like to find sometime, to put on my best 4000. One I wouldn't be using very much. I had an older style Sugihara bar on this 3700. Nice looking bar, but it is a hard tip, instead of sprocket nose. I'm not positive, but I don't think the banana style bar came on the 4000.
