Baileys isnt loosing their ability to sell online per Greg Grande...... Either are the rest of the dealers that use the same distributor.

Baileys prices are not as attractive as soom of the other online retailers so a dealer should be able to match there prices. I know in some cases my local dealer already does.

many of the prices from baileys are within a few dollars of cost and in some cases below cost for some of us

That is what I thought.

Baileys price on a 359 is $439 plus shipping, My local dealer is selling them for $420 plus 6% sales tax. South west FWIW is selling the 359 for $434.

if we sold our saws at that low of a price we would go out of business.

bailey's distributor must be charging them a lot less per saw than husqvarna is charging the dealers who buy directly from them. We really can't come close to that price and still afford to carry the line.

and the flip side to that is------ if we paid the highest price, we'd be broke. Remember the local economy starts in your own back pocket.

Hey Ben whats the going price on a 357xp??
I dunno. I am going over there this afternoon to get some parts to fix my crunched 346 so I will let you know. I do know my dealers price on 346XPG's sucks.

Cam, how many saws per years do you sell? FWIW Baileys distributor buys directlty from Husky Sweden and doesnt deal with Husky USA at all, hence Husky USA rules do not apply to them.

Agree, this is where Husky is going to have to drop the prices to the dealers if they want to see a dealer program also.

Ok,,thats cool. Let me know if they go for $702.28 , less or more. Thats what a man told me he paid for his last week. That sounds awful high but he swore thats what he paid for it..

about450-500 between husky and stihl, but we sell about 4x more stihl than husky. partly because with stihl all the other places they can buy it are almost identical to us, so it's just our service that sets us apart from other dealers. We're full line with husky but all that really does is give us some better terms not better pricing

Blis, you can thank entitlements and socialism for the high prices you pay. I just bought a 353xpg for $389 out the door or E233.

Hmmm, socialism you say?? You do realise that Finland is capitalist country, like all european countries...

ps. its 353g not xpg :notrolls2:

Talked to another dealer in Nevada today, he called to tell me he had received the new Baileys catalog today. He said the prices were Huskys Power Price, not discounted any longer.

I havent seen the catalog nor do I receive them so I am not sure. I'm sure someone out there can verify this if they have a new catalog?!
