Depending on the kind of tree I think a Sun Dried Tomato Alfredo sauce might do well.

A lot depends on how long your like to boil yours, I really like about 1 minute past al dente. My wife prefers softer.

One minute past??!

The horror !:msp_scared:

It HAS to be "al dente", then sauce those linguini and cover with foil -- let the sauce soak in -- pile it on a platter (oven safe), lightly cover with fresh gated Parmesan (the good stuff -- it's around $18 a pound but you don't need much), and broil for 15 seconds and serve. Side of garlic bread and plenty of red wine.

I'm a foodie:msp_thumbsup:

Redhead noodles anyone?

Nothing like red oak. Now I have more kindling than I really need. It was a heck of a lot of fun . My 365XT cut through these things like crazy:chainsawguy::hmm3grin2orange:

It would take me 6 months to cut and split 3 cord of wood doing it the way you do.. Who ported that 372? Sure doesn't sound and look very strong at all

That's not a Husky 372. You can tell because it isn't ugly...

Scott (Treemonkey) did that saw a couple years ago for me and I can't say enough good things about it. It just flat out cuts. Those rakers are pretty low at about .045 which might get me yelled at but that's where she cuts the best for me. One thing I'd like to do is set up a jib or gin pole with some log tongs to lift the heavier rounds but it all works for now.

Noodled some oak chunks-

Yesterday it was way too wet and muddy to split with the tractor so I noodled some oak chunks. Not sure exactly what type of oak, but I am guessing bur oak. The tree was dead and standing last year so we dropped it. Then I had to wait to get it out since my 066 was in TN and the corn got planted. The trunk was around 40" in diameter or a hair bigger in spots. Funny thing was the inside heartwood had dark purple and black streaks in the grain. I am asuming it is from either the tree pulling minerals from the soil or decay. Had some fun doing it, although the stuff was hard wood. The noodles hitting my leg even stung a bit. Sorry the pics stink, my phone is filled with wood dust since it is always in my pocket.

When my wife makes pasta she like to use the vegetable (multicolored) or wheat. I cant stand it, I like the standard kind. So I brought her a piece of purple colored noodles. She didnt like them too much. lol
I have never seen such a strong purple color in a tree when noodled out like that- it was cool.View attachment 273219View attachment 273220View attachment 273221

No better fire starter than a pile of noodles. They're easy to throw in a trash bag and you don't have to split kindling nearly so small if you have noodles to start the fire with.

I agree.

I make a ton up out of pine or spruce, dry them in the sun and use them for campfires and the stove.
