Something new on the horizon. This here is to take out and absorb the heat created by our friction hitches oh yeah and make you look cool.

Well it should Butch. My idea and made with these two hands.

so it wouldn't grip for ya? I found that too at first but the angle of the fins is important. When we work our knot we straighten our wraps. When it grip the wraps go on an angle. This is just the first proto type. I have ideas on something new and a little different. It should work better and have some other benefits.

Yeah well if doesn't wear out you won't ever sell another one. You have to think inside the piggy bank. The other design isn't like that at all doesn't come in contact with the host rope really at all.

Big John,

Is the loop at the top for the heat-sink or attachment to an ascender?

Yeah basicall just to put a finger in, something to grab. Not an attatchment point.

Oh, okay.

I thought it wouldn't need to withstand too much tension if it allowed the ascender to advance the hitch upward, much like the micro-pulley allready does only the force of lift would be transferred to the ascender and not a "tailing" pulley. There's a lag distance always from my pulley, this way would take that slack up. Just wondering.

Good thinking on the invention though. As far as a locater I identify with that big time. Lost a bunch of stuff today...non-mowed ground cover and thick as pluff mud. Might go back with a metal detector but a pole saw section? Can't believe my son lost it.

yes I understand that. I got the idea from the bachman. What I have in mind is totally different same idea though but alloww full contact of the cord equal wear.

hey don't turn political here on me you and were getting along civil like for change. You wanna get the boot Xander may be back soon. HA HA yeah Kerry is good way to go instead of the holy roller

I think that the modular cross section should be 1/3 of the rope cir. At least with flutes that make contact with the rope.
