there are a lot of vids on the damage. looks like a lot of failures were due to included unions, though many uprootings loo typical for super saturated soil.

BTW, Mr Maximus is not all that articulate yo, homie might want to turn the volume down.

Olidirty! I see you got the Howard Deane thing goin on now eh??

Nice!

i do have to admit that i have some fun at work.

we are back. got in around 230 last night. nothing like working all day and then hanging around till 830 to leave the city.

met some good dudes out there. the head tree guy of the park, josh is one of them.

a couple quality companies were there but i think they all head to step up their game when we rolled in. we brought the safety oriented high production mentality in and did our thing.

overall, it may have been one of the best experiences a treeguy could have. climbing trees and running equipment inside the gates of NYC's central park is something i doubt i will ever forget or take for granted. i do believe some of what we did brought our company even closer together as friends and colleagues.

we took a ride one night into the city and saw ellis island, the statue of liberty, the uss intrepid, times square, the empire state building, and ground zero. it was a long night but worth the loss of sleep.

overall experience? A+.

Glad you're home safe chief, that vid's a riot. I love the city, just wandering around is a blast. I gotta get down that way soon, just to cross a coupla the bridges on foot again.

Cool OD great story and glad you appreciated it for more then just a job. Just remember on certain other topics... What happened in NY stays in NY.

nothing happened that i couldnt share with you boys! lol.

for real though. unreal.

one of the funnier things was leaving the park to go back to our hotel. we leave the park and end up in harlem right out the gates. what do we see? a couple brothers riding around on dirt bikes (no helmets of course, lol.) doing wheelies and all kinds of other tricks right down malcolm x blvd! smack dab in the center of harlem! lol. how the hell they get away with it i dont know but still funny to see.

although hanging in the city only verified my thoughts that i could never live in the city. way too many people.

also the night we were out and about, i heard a bang and then turned my head in time to see a cab drive into a flower stand. the cabbie absolutely smothered someone in a crosswalk and drove into the flower stand after he hit him. the guy claimed he was ok as he bled from a few spots on his head. i left when the po po showed up.

does anyone speak english in the city? lol.

now get on a plane and go do it everywhere. you too might become a showoff.:D

and don't get me started on the groupies, women dig treeclimbers with a rap.

Tslayer, this is just a question and not a dig, but why do you go all over the US to do tree work? No tree companies in VA satisfy you with a challenge? Seems like if you find a good gig, you would stay around a little longer?

OD, keep up the good work. Go big or go home. Good to see that crane used to it's full potential.

Justin your not still here are you? I thought you were only here for a day thing. If your around pm for my number. Hmmm come to think of it if your free for a day I'll take you to New Jersey with me to do some tree work.

full time work is hard to find in va, unless willing to work for $15 - $ 20 hour.
NOPE. :( and that's mundane boring work usually, unless loaded with jobs.)

I prefer contract climbing, getting to go places. for now, anyway.

I am self employed, licensed and insured for 2 mil. and i can sell work like nobodies business. and I get paid for what I do :D
