no, we were there for last week. did our share and back at it here now. put in a quick 12 today. yah monday. chipper pooped it pants this morning and led us to a long one.

anyway no, i am not in NY anymore but next time i am and not so busy we definitely should get it together.

I'm glad your stay was a good one. Can't beat the excitement that NYC brings.

I just wish I could be cutting trees in Central Park. Of course when I walk in the Park I check out all the work the trees need me to do to them but just the thought of how I could get into the position to be the person to say what goes and what stays would be the end of me.

The trees of Central Park are still a shaking after seeing Old Dirty holding his Husky with the full-wrap handle over his head and yelling like a savage from the top of his bucket truck.

However, the rest of us here in Central Park are glad to have the mess clean up. It seemed very empty on Monday morning without 30 crews firing up saws, chippers, log trucks, cranes, skidders, and stump grinders.

Old Dirty and everyone else did an amazing job of getting the park back in order. The park has never seen a storm like that so it could have been a lot worse.

A hearty "Thanks" goes out to all.

Josh

there he is! josh, the pleasure was all mine brother. honestly one of the best experiences a tree man couldve possibly had. i was talking with skinny (the kid that ran our log truck) and we both agreed that it was kinda like a vacation. yah we worked our balls off but it was something extraordinary. hanging in central park man. so thank you for having us out there.

It's Oldirty.................lol, that never gets old.

lol. it is.

probably took 3 days to powerwash all his dip-spit off the statues.:hmm3grin2orange:

shoulda seen the side of the bobcat t300 i ran. only spot i had was out the window. lol.

Yea OD maybe a muzzle is in order , you got a little bit of grill damage there, and BTW a crane makes anyone a good climber.

nothing like some rain on the parade.

tell you what eddie. i know you are a bonehead with a comment like that. no the crane does not make everyone a good climber. ive seen plenty stink when it comes time to set slings and making cuts. pinching bars and pieces flipping. not being in the right spot when the wood moves and getting hit.

i'll let you smell my jock but you sure as hell cant hold it when it comes to all that is tree climbing and saw running related.

beat it mutt.

Yea I know theres always someone a little better but nice video , but seriously why is your name olddirty , you could probably drop a word there. WE share boasting privliges about tree climbing with no one other than a monkey .It's like the Geico commercial so easy even a monkey can do it, try something where you really need to go high and work , then we'll talk about trees again.

and you are a chicken shht for making that comment, it takes a GOOD climber to make the crane effective, and not get hurt.
I throw pieces off that would kill a chicken shht climber before 9:00 am.
I know gravity and lean well, but winch power and pull angles, a whole nother angle.
ain't hard to cut it out and watch it fall, cut it and make it go up clean EVERY time a$$hole.
back to my favorite quote,

Anybody can type.

btw. nothing like climbing with a fullwrap. i think the westcoaster's might be onto something after all. highly recommend it. no bueno for the flush cuts but great for grabbing off the saddle and making some cuts aloft.

and, i like your favorite quote treeslayer. tis true. i didnt see eddie in NYC. he mustn't be that good.

copenhagen snuff. the real ****.

go back to youtube and look for "another tree in central park comes down" its a 6 second clip but its that oak we did. we felled the rest of the butt and some bystander caught it on tape.

if you look close you can see me with the camelback on. lol. real good times.

thanks for the replies fellas, its why i hang here with ya.
Yup I am a cope man myself:cheers:

I ran a Dolmar 7900 today, (on the ground) with a full wrap, and a 28" WELL sharpened. WOW!
Hooked me quick, I'm getting one.

brnchbkr (sp?) came to a job to visit today, and I appreciate his help and especially letting me run his saw.
It weighs like a 260, and cuts like a 460 +, and I cut and quartered a huge oak stump with it, while the 880 watched.
first impression was on point.

Really opened my eyes to something that has been bothering me,
My new 200T has a spark arrestor that cannot be removed with out cutting.:confused: since when ???
Stihl is going where they are going without haste, but I am growing weary of them changing proven product for aggravating "improvements".

anybody with experience climbing with a Dolmar,
please let me know about reliability?
