The 621 has well deserved good reputation. With a 20" bar, 3/8 full comp. and 8 tooth sprocket they are suprisingly fast. So far I like it better than the 80. But the 70 is the is the better of the three.

Yes, lots of them are still going strong, and Josereds saws were state of the art in the early 1970s.

More from Mike Acres site - different versions pictured.

Even that ebayer has it wrong

Those parts he has listed as for an 80 are not from an 80 .....see the air filter listed.

I think the parts on ebay are from an 801 but will need to browse the archives again.

I need to double check if the 621 ignition plate and flywheel are the same as the 80,801,90 because I have complete ignitions for the 621 already tested and boxed up.

Yes, like the black handlebar, and different right side handlebar mount.

...but I didn't know about the different top cover and rear handle mount, what's the differences?

62 gas 90 degrees angle on the sides of the top cover, 621 has sort of cut...

rear antinibe rubbers stick out on the sides (larger) on 621, even with handle om 62.

Jonsered 90

I am pretty sure I have one or two of the condensers and possibly one set of points left NOS.

I don't think I have any NOS coils left but I do have good tested used.

You may want to consider using a point eliminator chip as they work extremely well on these saws and are maintenance free.

The chips run around 10 bucks which is far less than a condenser alone.

Do you still have points for the Model 90?

Howdy boys. Sorry that I didn't see this thread the first time around. You can actually still get points for these things from Tilton. (They are in the Total catelog.)

Part number for the points is: TM504131 For 601, 751, 621, 80, 801, 90, 50, 51, 52, S111.

Condenser part numbers: TM503125 for 601, 751, 621, 80, 90.
TM503124 for 50, 51, 52, and S111

man that's good info

question about the saw on the right?

Here are four jonsereds. The two center ones are an 80 and a 621. look at the AV section of the handle.......Bob

I have one that looks alot like that one. I do not have the model number either. My serial number is #1508419. I have my fathers 49sp at home and my saw is physically larger.

Jonserede 90 chainsaw parts

I have parts for a Jonsered "90" chainsaw that I recently quit using because it had bad ring and scored piston. It has a lot of good parts on it if anybody's interested. I'd be willing to sell the parts individually or all together at a reasonably price. I know Jonsered "90" chainsaw is a hard model to find parts for , because I have been in that position. I would like to thank all those in this forum for all the good information on the older chainsaws !!

If any one is interested they can contact me at : [email protected][/emai

Kill Switch Broken!

Guys!

What do I do? Is there anything I can do to still use the saw without the kill switch? Is there a quick fix or good replacement?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

By the way my saw is a 621.

Tom
