It has an adjustable oiler so if you are running a short bar, you should set it to minimum output.and it oils great.

Per the Acres website, you're right on the money at 28"I was going to go with a 24" bar but this popped up on marketplace. hope it's not too long for this saw.

You can run the 28" in semi chisel fine on the P41 , I have for years . I actually run a 36" Carelton semi skip on my P51 in large White & Red pine , no oiling issues in either case although I always run winter grade bar oil !Per the Acres website, you're right on the money at 28"
