Thanks Ken, that helps.

I'll go look at mine some more but it looks like they used a different bar plate for sure and it looks to reroute the oil flow to the Husky bar oiler hole.

It also appears the bar studs are 8mm but do they have a spacer to space them up to 9mm or are the studs themselves shouldered?

The studs are shouldered.

Thanks, that helps.

This bar mount thing is kinda one of the reasons I didnt want a Mac version of this saw. I guess its not really that big of a deal, I just didnt want to be tied down to that Mac bar mount.

I have not had time to get into it much but I think with some stud spacers, that I have and a little grinding on the D009 Husky bar adjuster holes I could fit the Husky style bar to it and have it oiling through the adjuster holes without much trouble.

Can any of ya lead me in the right direction to get a set of rings for a P70? Also I was wondering if I can get a accurate reading on a comp gauge with the built in T port decompression on these saws? My reading was 125. I'm not understanding how the t port works either if anybody can explain.

Ok, here is the Pro Mac 1000 all cleaned up and pretty much ready to go. It really didnt need much repairs, just needed a bar adjuster, a tank vent and a fuel line. The pervious owner replaced the line but it was too short. The tank vent I use was a Partner style but it is a extra new on that I had left over from the Poulan Pro 475 builds. It should work for now anyway.

I also got a good look and seen what they did different on this Mac version so they could use the Mac style bars on it. Thanks again Ken for posting your pictures for comparisons.

You can see the upper oil slot is slotted in two places on the bottom of the channel to force the oil into the channel below it for it to oil into the Mac bars adjuster slots.

You also see the difference in the inner bar plate.

Looks great Mark. Looking forward to running it. :msp_thumbsup:

The one thing I wish they did different on these saws are the spikes. They look like a 3 year old child that drew a dinosaur or something.

I love these saws, I'm just being a whiny b1tch. ;)

Glad I could help. So how does it run. I am going to put a smaller bar on this afternoon and give the P100 a spin. Try to talk the Wife into taking some pictures.

Well so far just running it in the shop, it runs great. I have not had the time yet to get it out in any wood yet. Look how it took me a week to just get this far with it. :hmm3grin2orange:

I wanted to pull the carb yet though, just to inspect it closer and make shure there is no crap in it or old diaphragms to cause trouble later. The P/C look dang near mint in it and I want to keep it that way.

I also dont intend to run this regular bar much, I think I can make a D009 Husky bar work fine with just some stud spacers and maybe grind the adjuster holes up so they will oil through them like the Mac bar does. I have done the same with the small mount Husky bars when mounting them to my mid sized Poulans that use the K041 mounts that oil through the adjuster holes.

Yes I agree and it looks even funnier with only one spike.

I did find the other spike NOS on ebay from a AS member and am awaiting for it to arrive.

Mark that is one of the nicest P100's you would ever see. Congratulations on bringing that one home.

I got lucky the other day and brought home a really nice 650. In contrast to what I posted a little while back, this one has the yellow chassis, not black. Looks fine to me. And it is a good runner with a perfect bore and piston. Compression is 155 and it seems to be a low hour saw with the original Sandvik bar. After a clean up I think it will go on the shelf.

Someone asked about sparkplugs for partners in another thread. I couldn't find the thread so I thought I would post the info here. The recommended plugs for the p55,s55,s50,s65,p70,and r421t were the bosch ws 5 e and the champion cj 6. The plugs recommended for the p100 were the ws 5 f and the cj 4. This info came from the manual that came with my s50

Hey I am reviving a Partner S50 barn find. It has great compression and spark, and runs on a prime. I am going to rebuild the Tillotson carb and it should be good to go. The only snafu is that the air filter has almost completely lost it's flocking, and it is basically a wire screen at this point. Is there a way to fix it, or is there somebody who sells new ones. It looks just like the one on the PM1000 above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nice Al, very nice!

Its also interesting that it has the Pioneer Partner handle and trigger colors but no mention of Pioneer on any decals.

The 650 I have never seen that I can remember and will have to look at the date of manufacture of them.
