Mark, I have never seen a Pioneer/Partner here in Oz. They may not been imported with that naming. I bought another 650 this morning and it has no sign of the Pioneer tag either. Strange because we have older Pioneers here. Perhaps someone could provide some info on it?

Well Al after Pioneer closed up they were kinda merged with Partner and there were both Pioneer and Partner saws that were both labeld Pioneer Partner. I want to say about 1984?

I was told that all the Partners that were labled Pioneer Partner got the grey handles with yellow triggers instead of the older black handles. This might just have been a North America thing though...

My Partner P543 has grey handle and grey triggers.

Just wanted to let ya all know that I started a ''Partner Crazed Group" in the groups and you're all invited.

They even gave me permission to have a partners only swap meet in the group.

I've seen R-16's with some sort of farm stickers.

Yea Bo I got to thinking after I posted that the 540 and 5500 are that way as well. I'm thinking it was just the north American saws that got branded Pioneer Partner. The grey handle and yellow triggers would probably point to being manufactured after Elux took over though.

I would bet that your Farmer model is a 55 cc, as I "think" the 65cc Farmer model had antivibe but dont hold me too it.

P-100 time!

Look what showed up today! You can look at the York PA thread to see how it came about, I have thank Kuhndog/Dave for pulling this one together for me, so you guys rep him ever chace you get.

It showed up just as I was heading out to finish the dead Oak we dropped after work Wed night so I only got a glace at it but it looks good. Only missing 2 muffler bolts and 1 spike (again!)

Compression feels good and I'll check spark tomorrow.

I did check the bar mount out and found this indeed has 8mm studs like the PM1000 but it has a 8mm - 9mm bushing on the stud to use the Husky bar.

Ken remember when I asked about yours? I think you will find yours to be the same way, not having 9mm studs.

Anyway here it is as arrived. I'm kinda excited if you can tell. :msp_thumbup:

Great saw Mark. And it looks like it is in really nice condition. They are right up on the top of my wish list.

So would it have the extra brace if it was a full wrap, or is the brace on a Super with the half and full wrap?

Maybe, but at least I am sure they didn't weight a saw with a full wrap handlebar.....

I agree the add is cool! :givebeer:

I'm sure they didnt either but the full wrap couldnt have added but half the difference in my mind.

I have been kinda lax on weighing saws but like to do them when there clean and empty, just so I know whats what if nothing else.

ID the partner,part 1

All i can find on this saw is model.1646.
no IPL,no specs.
