Don,

Don't know about the synthetics, but I am sure about the prophylactics. :blob2:

There is no thruth to the fact that our unregistered illegal satellite dishes are robbing all the signals from the USA. ARGH ;)

Fish...leave my gf outta this...

Lobo...funny you mention that....I got nailed hard for that sattelite thing the other day....remember those chipped cards give off some strange signals that interfere with radio frequencies...just so happens that that frequency here is used for RCMP....oops...

Dennis you need lead paint

Put some lead around the components, that might help.
What happens when it bothers the RCMP?
Are they like the California Highway Patrol?

Aren't they like Dudley Doright?.

I saw my first Mountie in Sudbury, Ontario when I was a little kid...we were up there on vacation...at a highway crash scene. This guy was about 50, had a little bit of a beer belly, and drove a car. He also wasn't wearing the dashing red coat, and was yakking it up with the two town cops that were there, instead of standing stock-straight and handsome, like in the pictures.

Pretty much a let-down to a 10-year-old kid.

Leave your gf outta what? What is a gf?
I am just afraid that Otto and electroluxman are mad at me.
I cannot sleep at night.

Sorry,I do not understand internet speak. My first name is John,
so I always antagonize all Electrolux/Synthetic oil/ high octane
fans, as they need it.

Fish, you just gotta come out of the closet. Everyone knows you are Walt, but dont tell Ottolux. And you thought you were a trouble maker!

Thanks to all............

After countless hours of reading into this subject here at AS, I must thank all involved for their input in this matter. A special thanks to bwalker for explaining his knowledge of this issue in terms that I could comprehend. I have decided to go full synthetic at 32:1 however, I have not decided on which exact oil. Therefore, I purchased a case of Mobil 1 Racing 2T from AV Lube and also a four liter jug of Motul 800 2T off the net. I'm sure I'll come to some sort of a conclusion by the time I burn through all of this product. At least I hope so!

I bought some Mobil 1 2t and mixed it 50/50 with Stihl conventional. I'll be using it with regular gas at 40:1 unless someone tells me that mixing the oils is bad juju.

Not being a smart A, but why?

Why not use premium gas of at least 89 or more octane? Not trying to be a snart sas too.

Min Octane is 89, at least for Stihl saws... Just use premium.
Why mix the oils? Why not just use the 2T

Looks like I stirred the pot a little. I can see the little swirlies on the surface :D

1. I already had the Stihl oil on hand.

2. I run regular gas in my car and have always just filled my lawn mower/home use can at the pump at the same time.

3. Read here somewhere in one of the many dino vs full synthetic threads that full synthetic doesn't protect as well as a blend against internal corrosion for the weekend warriors such as myself that just run their saws on weekends vs prof loggers that run them every day.

So...I thought why not just go 50/50 till what I have is used up then buy a blend next time around.

Ok, let the onslaught begin...... why is it foolish?

Corrosion can be a issue with certain kinds of synthetics. Youhsouldnt have aproblem with Mobil.
It foolish to mix oils because somtimes they have compatibility issues. Not very likely, but possible.
I would just use up the Stihl stuff you have first, then use the mobil stuff.

No.
Let me clarrify in regards tot he compatability issue.
I have only seen one oil that would not mix well with others. 95% of the stuff out there might mix, juts fine, but why take the chance?
