ArboristSite Lurker
Have been lurking for a while and would like to thank everybody for all the information shared. Almost every time I google a question arb site is one of the top and always my go to. I enjoy looking at picture heavy posts for fun so thought I would do some sharing. Decided to put this in the heating section because that's what I do the most of. I heat with wood and do some tree work on my days off as a faller helper. Mostly bucking and un doing rigging. it's just for fun so enjoy.
My old work had a ms170 ms261 and a ms440 so I landed on a 362 as my first saw and it's amazing would highly recommend it.
Next saw was a walkerized 660 as they are plentiful in my area west coast bc. This saw was intended to be a milling saw but ended up mostly bucking with it. I have since sold this saw as I have a 066 now.
This is a blown up 660 that was cheap cheap so I was using at a parts saw but right now it's at the (doctor) and will probabaly be getting a new top end so will be a nice backup saw (aftermarket plastics are gross and need to go)
This is my 066 wearing it's 36" light es bar. It is a flat top no decomp red eye. The red eye still works it also had a dual port muffler which is fun.
Not super exciting but this ms250 is a great little saw. Nice for limbing and I use it for tasks I don't want to abuse my other saws with lol root auger.
This is a stihl 08s this I got because it was wearing a nice 36" stihl bar for some reason lol I think it was $50 and it runs like a top. I don't plan on doing much with it just thought it was cool.
Last but defiantly not least this is an 084 that I plan on milling with. I have a 41" and 36" large mount bars for it. The muffler is off it in a couple pics because I sand blasted it. The saw is being gone over right by a friend who is much smarter than me so I don't destroy it. So hope to have it back soon maybe with a ported muffler.
Hope this post is fun for you guys. Like I say I enjoy seeing these sorts of post so as a first post I though I'd do this. Any questions I'll do my best, also I like most brands. I buy stihl because I like the controls and quality. At work we have stihl husky jonsered saws that all work great it's just my preference.
