That is a nice collection of Pioneer memorabilia. I'd love to hear the 850 run.

Guys, there's a fellow I know who has a P51 in very nice shape. It has a new flywheel, muffler, carb kit, piston and rings. It starts and runs like new and needs nothing. He's asking $275 for it and he's in the U.S.
Send me a P.M. if you are interested.
Brendon.

Mr.sawbones

Like those saws's you have Mr.Sawbones!I also like the Pioneer memorabilia almost as nice as the saws,Almost!LOL!
Thanks for sharing with us.

I popped a few P-series parts up on Ebay if you guys want to have a look. Nothing too special. I'll give you guys a deal, of course.

Well I figured out whats wrong with the P51. Major air leaks! I made some plates to block off the carb and muffler ports. I hooked up the compressor with 8 pounds of pressure and sprayed windex on it. Major bubbles from behind the reed cage and the flywheel side seal.

Pioneer Partner P62 and Pro 655BP Parts Needed

I could use some help locating a few parts for the larger P series Pioneer saws. I need a piston and pin for a P62 Pioneer Partner. I have new rings and a new cylinder. Also looking for a new piston, pin and bearing for a Poulan Pro 655BP. Needs to be the new style for a boost port cylinder. Any help would be appriciated,
Jeff

I just replied to the post you have on the main page, I posted a link that carries the 655 parts.

Hi Jeff; good to see you are a member here, I don`t have any of the parts you are looking for but there is some members on here that do have parts for the P series saws. Good luck and hope you find what you need.

The guy`s that follow this thread are a great bunch of fellows, they will help you if they can whether it be info, technical assistance, parts or parts sources they try their best. Don`t sell yourself short on your collection and if you hang out here long enough your collection will grow, gotta watch out for that CAD thing. Quite a few restored saws on here, there are a few real perfectionist`s doing up the Pioneers. I have a few more in the works but time is hard to find right now, I spend too much time working on saws needed for wood cutting. Seems like I can never clear the bench of them before more shows up needing repairs.
The P62 and Pro 655 are top of the line big saws,NOS parts must be getting scarce for them. Best of luck.

Some idiot called me today and said he had a big Pioneer saw and also a Stihl 038. I was about an hour away from him, so I told him what time I'd meet him, and got there early. No-show. Waited and waited....no show. All I can say about this dude is that he probably smokes Newport cigarettes....:censored:

This kind of thing happens, just got to take it with a grain of salt. Got to have a lot of patience to play this game, I have negotiated and wrangled with some of the saw owners for years before finally landing them. Not always easy but usually worth the hassles.

Pro 655

Jerry was right when he said you got to have a lot of patience to play this game. I have been down a lot of dead ends only to find boat anchors. I have been looking for a Pro 655 for years. Finally got a line on one a couple of weeks ago. Price was right $50 but he would not ship. So I went to pick it up. .The cost of the saw cheap. 14 hours of quality time with the wife in the car just to pick up a used saw, Priceless. Will try to post a few photos of the new treasure tomorrow. You never know unless you go and look.
