What length of bar are you looking for? Hard nose original or sprocket tip?
Pioneerguy600

I seem to have better luck with the sprocket tip style. My 1073 has a 14" .325 pitch chain on it now and it still seems very low power (it had a 3/8 standard on it). But it has may hours on it. Anyway, I am thinking if the P25 is completely rebuilt it should have more power so i was looking for a 14" or 16" solid (not laminate) sprocket tip. That being said, i am open to suggestion. The bar that was on it is completely rusted and pitted.

You are going to use it for lumber jacking?

I'll dig them out and let you guys know later today. I still have quite a few new ignition and intake parts and some exterior parts for the 40/41/42 and 50/51/52/60/61/62 saws.

Well, sorry for the false alarm guys. I have many new flywheels but none for the P-41. I have three for the later P-42/P-45/P-455. I have flywheels for all the bigger saws too.

Well, just so happens, I need a P42 flywheel. Let me know what you want for it + shipping to 15301. If you don't mind, could you PM me a list of parts you have for a P51 and P42.

Thanks,
Joe

Overengineered

I just hate the laminated pieces of crap. I only cut wood for myself and the laminated bars seem to just open right up and become a loosey goosey piece of junk. Figured I would go solid from now on! Not only that, if I can figure out the actual correct mount pattern I can probably find a solid bar for the same price as a laminate one anyway since time is on my side! I always over do it...

I have to put my new Pioneer 650 here. The one I traded for with Jerry. This saw has made me a huge Pioneer fan.

Yeah Jerry has some nice Pioneers and the 650 is one of the best. You guys made a real good trade, since that table is a real beautiful piece. Are you looking for other saws to trade for another table? ;)

Seriously, Pioneers are addicting, especially the older ones. The engineering and manufacturing was excellent. I'm amazed when I pull apart one of those old saws how much ingenuity went into them.

Thanks Jacob. I'd bet you have plenty of saws I'd like.I agree with you on the Pioneers. They truly don't make them like that anymore.

Pioneer P50 Bucking Spike

Has anyone 1 of these they would be prepared to sell me. Or failing that could trace around 1 as I have the means to be able to make !. Any help would be greatly appreciated, please PM me, Thanks. Al.

I have a custom made one you can have. It was on a saw I bought. Its stronger than the original. You can have it for shipping cost. I can post a pic if your intrested.

Little Al, I checked with the post office and it will cost $8.84 to ship to France. If you want it, PM me with your address and I will send it today.

Fellas, I've been purging some of my used parts and tonight I found a good low-time piston, rings and cylinder for the P20-28 or 1073/1074. The piston is nearly new and I cleaned the cylinder with muriatic acid. It has zero damage. It's free to the first bidder if anyone wants to pay for shipping. I'll probably throw in a few other odds and ends, too. Send me a P.M.
Brendon.

Brendon,

Thank you for the parts! I got them on Friday. The cylinder looks WAY better and the piston looks new compared to the one I took out. Thank you for the extra parts too! I think I wrecked the points pulling the flywheel and there you go sending me a perfect set!

I owe you one (just not much to offer right now unless you are in central MN and want a beer sometime!)

I am sure I will need a few more parts once I have it all apart but I nearly have everything (except the cover of course). You sent me some gaskets before with a 1074 bar cover for my 1073 so other than a couple seals and carb kit I am not sure I am missing much at all! Well, except a LOT of new paint.

Tried to REP you but it won't let me. Thanks again.

Brian
