The P52+ is tentatively sold. It's sad to see it go but it will be going to a very good home. I'm glad that I was able to rescue it in the first place as the original owner would have let it go to anyone. It will continue to be preserved and admired. Come to think of it, I never did start that saw...

Home Sick Saw

Brendon,I'm sure the new owner would let you come and visit if need be.
Just give one of the many other beauties you have a big hug and hopefully it won't hurt as bad.Sorry to hear that it's going to a new home, but I know the new owner will take great care of it!

Alright now...

The new respectful owner must come forward (assuming they are an AS member...) out of respect for us OTHER admirers...

Hi guys, I am need of some cash for a transmission at the moment, would anyone be interested in buying a mint P52 Plus? I hate to sell any of my saws, but priorities are priorities. Guaranteed to be the jewel of your P-series collection. Send me a P.M. if interested.
Brendon.

That is one beautiful saw, looks like it was only lightly used, it should bring a good price.

Does anyone know where I can get parts for the infamous Farmsaw starter?

Bought the saw from a kid who pulled it out of a dumpster. The recoil was missing all its parts, so I put a recoil spring out of a p26 in it along with the black piece that engages the flywheel but it doesn't work properly. It looks like the farmsaw had a separate spring doo dad and the one I'm using has it in one piece with the black piece.
This probably doesn't make any sense to anyone else, gonna have to get some part no's.
Are parts available for these? I looked on ebay a few times and haven't seen any.:dizzy:

It's hard to find those parts nowadays... I have an extra of the "yolk" spring, which I'll gladly give you. I may have that black plastic piece but I'd have to check next time I go home. Any of those parts I have you're more than welcome to. Rottman's also might have some of what you need: http://www.rottmansales.com

Yoke spring, I think thats what I need Jacob. That black part that engages the flywheel, mine has an integral 'yoke spring' and it isn't long enough to keep from spinning. I tried to wedge it the opening at the bottom of the housing where the end of the recoil spring is anchored, but it won't stay in place, and so then the decomp actuator wire ends up under the pulley so then that doesn't work either.... am I making any sense ?
I don't really know for sure what I need because I didn't have the old parts to start with. Just going on trial and error, mostly error..lol

Hey Chris, I am a little closer to you than Jacob, in distance that is and I can send you over any internal parts you might need, I don`t have an orange cover but the innards are all here. Your choice, send me a PM if you like.

Fellas, I've been purging some of my used parts and tonight I found a good low-time piston, rings and cylinder for the P20-28 or 1073/1074. The piston is nearly new and I cleaned the cylinder with muriatic acid. It has zero damage. It's free to the first bidder if anyone wants to pay for shipping. I'll probably throw in a few other odds and ends, too. Send me a P.M.
Brendon.

Brendon,

I know it's not a Pioneer but I remembered this comment you made about muriatic acid awhile back. I have a cylinder taken off a Husqvarna 65 and it has what I think is a bit fo aluminum build up on the inside but no scratches. How do you do the muriatic acid thing to see if the cylinder is still good? There is a picture in the Husqvarna thread I started awhile back if your willing to comment on a saw that is not green! Below is the link to the post page with the picture.

Thanks,

Brian, Roncoinc did a thread with a video a few weeks ago. Lotsa info on acid cleaning.

Pioneer P61 Parts

Does anyone have an extra muffler for a P61. I am looking for one that matches the full cover. Just need the outer muffler half. New or a good used one. I have a couple of regular side discharge covers.

Jerry - found some spare parts for ya today!

Check these gems out:

I think the RA handle and spikes are salvageable... Not much else though!

At first I thought both cranks were from RAs; however you can barely see in the photo that the bottom one has a huge pin (which I think IS from an RA) and the top one has a puny little 9-10mm pin.

I literally dug these out from under the moss. They were in a huge heap of old sawmill parts that were dumped over the bank at my neighbor's place across the road back in the '50s. I went over today to browse the selection to see if there's anything worth asking him about. I took a whole bunch of pictures which I'll probably put up in the milling forum later.

Those are some cool parts alright, they would go right along with that old rusty seized RA that I am rebuilding for a sentimental fellow. It is actually coming along quite well, did not have a lot of time to work on it this winter but it will eventually run. Those parts you have may need a little more refurbish work than even I would want to do.
