The PO would have had to go to all out war to have damaged that box system you/we use to ship a saw, packed so tight there was no way in he!! that it can move inside the box is key to it not getting scuffed, the double box and added sheet insulation ensures there is little chance that impacts can penetrate far enough to damage a real nice saw like this one.The bar needs special attention also, wrapped the way you did it ensures it does not break free and slice its way out of the box, I have lost more bars being shipped to me than I have fingers on both hands to count up on. I actually ship all saws this way and they have reached the farthest parts of this planet unharmed, some took over 30 days but still got there unscathed.

Jerry we still can't beat Canada post for shipping cost, but I have to agree that they can be very rough in handling packages. I would be very happy with 30 days. I shipped a saw to Finland on Nov 16 and it arrived Feb 8. At least they didn't loose it. The fellow on the other end was very good about the whole thing. He sent me a saw about the same day and I received his in less then 3 weeks.
Glad to see you got a 500. Picked up one a few years ago. A nice cutting little saw. I am looking for a 5000Plus. They are a bit harder to scratch up.

Yes Canada Post is still best price wise but they have beaten some of my boxes quite bad whenb shipping saws either way, to or from Canada, hence the heavy packing of saws that really want tp preserve their looks and value.
I have collected several of the Pioneer/Partner saws so far, I have picts for some of them but not all. Have to pull them all out and give them a quick cleanup and do a pict take of them. Here are a couple I have had for some time now,

Looks like either a P42-size or a P45-size saw. Have you pulled the muff to take a peek? Bore of the four-cubers is about 47.6mm, and bore of P45/ PP455 is 50mm. I'm tinkering on one right now. And my P45s have the third transfer or 'boost port' across from the exhaust port.

One of mine looks a bit like yours - put together from about six different saws.

Randy, I need to see a side shot of the clutch cover. It's hard to tell on this tiny screen, but it looks like the clutch cover will accept an outer spike..... Making it a 50/60 series.
A 40/455 series will not accept an outer spike.

Yeah, its a bigg'un. At least 5 cubes but hard to say what the hell it was when it started.
