I recently picked up these two boat anchors. Look to be in pretty good original condition. I’ve bought and sold a handful but think I’ll hold onto these two. I noticed that the handlebar bracket is missing on the 650. Will an RA bracket fit?

dont think ya need brace w/halfwrap.
my 620 didnt have one either.
all others i have are fullwrap, and have them.
that said, i think it would work, head should have bolt hole for it.

Does anyone know the drive link count for a 36" poulan pro bar on a p65. .404 chain? I tried search and Google but didn't have any luck.

Yes sir it is. It was an odd ball, 34" from front of saw. 100 dl of .404

Mine takes 106 DL of .404. It's a 36" Oregon that's a Pioneer/ Poulan Pro mount that came on my 655BP. It doesn't have any logo on it anymore.

I appreciate it. Luckily there is an old school stihl dealership in the town I'm working in and he took the time to wrap the bar with chain and make one. His father in law also has three semi trailers of old poulan and homelite parts. I haven't called yet to see what he has.

l was checking some old reference material here and noted the P65 was only equipped with 3/8 sprockets and bar lengths range 16" thru 24". Windsor.
lf one is making chain .404 , better check sprocket count on the Saw so it matches your new chain.
The early Pioneer 32" & 36" non Windsor bars were availiable but the specs were 32" X.404 X .063 Gauge, and 36" X .404 X .063 Gauge. When Pioneer started using the Windsor Bar you could get the 3/8" X . .058 Gauge chain

Here is a pic of some Nos chain that Pioneer used only on 32" & 36" Pioneer Bars not pioneer Windsor branded bars or Oregon , D009 mount which were 3/8 X .058 Gauge
Keep in Mind the if your switching chain that it matches the drive sprocket and bar.

Does anyone on here have a spare Pioneer decomp they'd sell that "looks like a McCulloch one except it's gray instead of red"? A friend is looking for one so I told him I'd ask around.

Hey pioneer fans I have just purchased a 3270. Wondering what bar suggestions you all may have - I believe it is a 77cc saw I'd like to run a 28" bar on it I think..

I see the bar mount listed as a K095 (small husky)
Are there other bar patterns that will work with this unit? - with or without modification.

P26, p40 with some of the pine they cut up this week. Switched to the p40 when the wood got too big for the bar on the p26.
Both saws have a nice wide power band which makes them pretty easy to use. The p40 is a real powerhouse, and is surprisingly smooth running considering it's rubber mounted. The p26 is very easy to start with the auto decomp, but the saw vibrates quite a bit and is only a couple ounces lighter than a Husqvarna 50, nowhere near the claimed 9 lbs 10 oz power head weight. Both very reliable saws, I probably have less than $200 invested in them. As far as firewood saws go, you can make a lot worse choices.

Awesome! I have a P21, very similar to the p26 and I love it it's my favorite saw.
I also run a p40 it's a beast in the big wood. Can't go wrong with pioneer!

Love the simplicity in the building of these saws they are a joy to work on and they run great
