$30 is better than $0.. im not expecting a win.. what i am expecting is a chance to learn more.. improve my times and meet new people. thats the way it should be! if i did win.. then hey.. i won.. cool! but for that i would need a LOT of luck on my hands.. my 181 is still not even ready for the competition yet.. going to be tight.. waiting on a new piston pin bearing and new crank seals.. and hoping my carb, muffler and air filter set arrive in time for practice.

will there be any chap/hardhat requirements? and if so.. are loaners available?

Ben, good luck! Meeting new people is always good and maybe rupedoggy will loan you one of his race chains. The least he could do for you driving that far to come to his show. Dick

Hey Mike is this your old crusier when you were a patrolman. Is this an interceptor??

MCsaw you ask why the bitterness? I am going to include some quotes from your past posts and I think it will answer the question.
"Ginger, Beware of Rupedoggy falling any tree's of yours. He's an ex-cop, not a timberfaller. I heard that he tried to fall a tree at a contest one time and almost killed the crowd. LOL Look Out!"
"Been building anymore of those slow chains Gypo Logger. LOL you built one for Rupedoggy didn't you. "
"Hey Rollin, Rupedoggy must have gotten Flogged at the races cause he ain't talking."
"dneiger, Rupedoggy I'm sure would throw in a couple of old 2100's for a prize, and we could have all 3 disciplines, but don't forget the Dog Piling! "

There are more, but you get the idea. If you are who you say you are why would you berate me and then come on here and try to make like we are friends or something? As far as I know I don't even recognize the name so I don't know you. I have never said a bad thing about you have I? If you are from Shaver Lake I have only been to one competition there and I won nothing. I will say I do try to help people on the site but I don't understand your demeanor. What's the beef? If you want to attend the Placerville show and can't afford the gas money, I will pay for it. Mike

Mike, we need to jointly figure out who this McSaw guys is and mop the floor with him.
He's obviously just a troublemaker, a minion of sorts.
Can I show up Mike if I promise not to fill my pants this time.
John

I've got a good idea rupedoggy how to boost the prizes at your show. Get Gypo and Art Martin to build racechains to give away as part of the prize for winning a class. The fastest race chain could go as the top prize. Also, you know how Marky Mark brags about how much money he makes....well.....get him to throw in a couple of hundred bucks for each class. Maybe a couple of tires from Dennis Harvey and get Cahoon to break down and throw in some Carlton chain. Turn some of this negitive thinking into a positive and next thing you know you'll have prizes worth more than $30. But let me warn you, the bigger the prizes the more competion you'll have. Anyway, Good luck! Mcsaw

ill make it a little more interesting, IF i really do get to go. i will bring an SP125 bar with me and put it up as a prize. bar is in good shape but does need a tip (oregon 3 rivet contour type) and i will toss in $20 out of my own pocket.

Those are all good ideas McSaw, but I don't know about the tires though.
Mike, I have a better idea. I was talking to Ken Dunn yesterday and he said he'd like to go your GTG, but he says he can't stand on one leg and can't lift with his other arm.
So Ole Ken came up with the perfect solution. He says he'll get Dennis Cahoon to run his saws for him, kinda like Rotax was running ole Art's saws.
Ken says that not only does he have a great 5 cuber to run in the 3 cube class, but he also has an 021 stroker with a restrictor plate that I have already built a chain for.
Anyway, I don't mind throwing in one of my chains if you tell me how many drivers.
John

Gypo I was thinking about sending out some 2100 parts I have been adding up here. Let's see I have one leaky tank that was fixed with JB weld, some type of port work to a cylinder and a blown piston.

I spent all my allowence on ebay last week, I bought that Rupp Mini Bike I always wanted as a kid but could never afford. We didn't have 2 nickels to rub together or a window to throw it out of when I was growing up. But I thank God and Tony Robiins for helping me get the edge.

i forgot to ask.. is the competition going to be a single cut, or double cuts?
and hopefully its a hot start.. both my saws are still untested and i have no idea if the saws or my arms can take single pull starts..

The show is going to be one cut unless the log size we get is small. I am pretty sure it will be one cut and hot start. The time will begin when you hit the log with the chain. Bring some friends from Washington and car pool down. We will be anxious to see you. I want to have a test and tune log so we can set our saws for the event. I will have a tach and help you set up if you want. Mike

hey rupedoggy, if enough people were interested would a vintage saw class be possible? (a no prize display match) i can borrow an SP125C if i need. this time it has a fresh carb and stays running! i dont think my 3-25 gear drive wants to run... fuel tank issues putting me out of the running with that bugger..

i wonder if greyhound will complain about having saws as carry-on luggage.. LOL. goin greyhound to Dean's place then riding with him out to the show.
looking forward to seeing yall and learning some new tricks!

Sure, if enough people show up with that kind of thing we can do it. I believe we will have enough time and logs to accommodate most any one that would like to run a saw. I hope to have the show organized enough to make the spectators happy but loose enough to make the contestants happy. I know there will be some small problems but you will have fun and learn some if I can accomplish my goal. Mike

In that case if I my tilly kit ever shows up I'll bring my D 44 to whoop some vintage a$$. LOL

hey jared, your going to have a tough time beating that ol SP125 with a D44.. i can really lean on that sucker the way i tuned it for my friend..
now if i could find a rim sprocket for 1/2" chain.. i would really be good with that sucker!

I was at a function tonight and posted one of my flyers. One of the guys said he was going to bring his D44 so you will have some company. I may dust off the 125 kart to run with you guys. Mike

eek! now i know im not winning if rupe brings a kartsaw.. i can sure try tho! :)

Don't worry about my Kart but be leery of my brother and his stock old 090! BTW Jared I have the kart motor put into a frame and it is running now. That is the engine that I bought off Ebay. I painted it flat black and my wife wants me to put white stripes on it and call it the skunk. I guess it will either run the competition out of town or stink up the place. Mike

Slow and steady here. My kart powerplant is near ready to light off but my chain science is in the stone ages. I'm looking forward to meeting you all at Placerville, I'll be the one with big ears, small mouth and the big pregnant wife. LOL. I may bring my 740 for hahas too. You got a longest drive award?
