now if i could find a rim sprocket for 1/2" chain.. i would really be good with that sucker!
another member says he has one for you, but if u have an old one or a blueprint/drawing with specs, i might be able to make u one on my spare time.

Hey VMAN That's music to my ears!!!! In order to advance this sport, We need guys like you. Some aspects of saw building are tough without a time machine or a big bank account. Thank's for giving us options. For haha's I'm on the hunt for some 1/2" chisel. I passed on some not too long ago because I was a big pu$$y. I gotta start thinking like a big dog! LOL. I'll be in touch.

GOBRDGO.....if u are talking about 1/2" chisel chain? i don't know about making chain.
i spent a good portion of my life machining in printing industry repair. i have my own little machine shop in my garage (mill, small lathe, vertical/horizontal metal band saw, a rotary table w/dividing plates and tilt table to complement my milling machine...just wish i had a surface grinder!!) so making parts, gears, sprockets is a hobby for me, not to mention a few extra $$$ here and there. after about 20 years, i am in a career change and am currently in school..only 3 more months to go!!! i will be a nurse in 3 months and already heard all the jokes from my friends. anyway, come December i will have the time again to spend in the garage doing some machining and may start playing around with saws. i am a smallbore competition shooter also and custom competition shooting equipment has been my main gig for my "lil machine shop". i have a few weeks off in late august but need to catch up on the property...."homework....ughhh" has kept me away from everything the past year but it is almost over.....but would have made DEDCOW a sprocket in a few weeks if he needed one. anyway, in a few more months i will have some free time again and will make parts for "toys" if u or anyone wants. (will just need drawings/or parts to copy from)
glad to see the enthusiasm on your end!!

That's great, nurses make bank. I wish I had a job that didn't thrash my body. Way to go. I was talking about sprockets, not chain building. Jared

well, my idea of 1/2" chain went down the tube, no chains long enough to fit my 32" mac bar.. and no short SP125 bars.. so if anybody wants the mac bars they are for sale to fund the placerville trip.

thanks...my body was thrashed in 1995, result was 23 screws from my right lower leg to my hip with a full plate for my thigh...so there was not too many years left repairing large printing machinery with the positions i had to crawl in to....too many knee problems, so getting out while the knee/leg is still in pretty good shape.
as far as the sprocket...stay in touch if u want, it sounded like u were referring to chain, sorry about that.

show is coming up real fast! so who is bringing what saws? i still hope to have my 181 and 2100 going. wont be bringing any vintage saws, just no room with me.. still hoping somebody will loan me a race chain for my 3/8x.050 84dl bar.. i really doubt my badly filed full skip chains would get me better than dead last place :)

I know the following people have expressed an interest in the show, or are going to attend the show. They all have large saws, and some more than one: George Harrison, Ken Dunn, Mike Morrow, Mike Rupley, Art Martin, Paul Smith, Jon Rupley, Macdaddy, Tim Elming, Bob Wadell.
In addition two of the most famous, local, vintage kart racers have expressed an interest in attending to watch and give pointers to anyone with a Mcculloch or West Bend. Mike

KD and Art are thinking of going? getting some of the big boys! going to be a great show and lots of fun! i hope some food vendors are going to be there, going to need some modsaw operator fuel. show just sounding better every day.. my nerves are getting up there too.. eager as ever to do some testing with my saws.. hope they get together in time! i hate not having my saws broke in and proven yet.. thats the part really getting me worried..

I was informed that Ken will not be there, but there are 2 Ringers going. Dennis Harvey and George Harrison are thinking of going also. But when you live just outside of NYC what could I know. It might turn into a grudge match for all I know

Marky we know you're not going all yours saws run a little worst than stock!

If gypo is going I wont run last time he cheated and blew up one of tommys saws How about you Mcsaw do you live close to the show If you dont have a saw to run I will loan you one so you can show your skills

Yes that is true but since I have Ehp and Dennis Cahoon on the job things are looking brighter. Dennis is going to be having a little GTG at his house since Paul Smith isn't having his show this fall.

As for Dennis Harvey I will give him a call even thou he can't run a saw as well as Gypo.

Macdaddy...don't you have one of Cahoon's old 101Mac's? I want to see that run.
