We've ran into one small problem but I think I have a solution. The mounting tabs for the cylinder cover don't line up just right with the case. I'll show you guys when I have this fixed.

OK I have the pic coming. I solved the little issue with the cylinder cover and should be done with this one other than a bar.

This is how a redneck solves small problems. Lol
She's may not be 100% 8500 but she is close enough nobody would ever know. 85cc of American muscle.

I can't tell from the angle of the pics. But is that fuel line touching any thing?
I'm thinking of possible contact with a bolt head under the strap or the choke link.
It's probably the photo angle again, but it even looks a bit close to the end of the choke shaft.
When it's in place does the filter touch the hose and push it against anything?

When I don't know all of the room and shaping of the area I'm looking at in a photo.
This is the sort thing that a camera angle can sometimes leave me wondering what I'm really seeing.

No everything runs under the strap except the throttle shaft. Nothing touching

If you look closely you can see how the rear mounting tabs are moved inboard on the 8500 and I'm sure that was part of the reason for the additional webbing.

There are slightly difference between the 4200-5400 cases and the 6900-8500 cases the biggest being the rear mounting tabs for the cylinder cover. All things being equal you can run the intake and airfilter from a 6900-8500 on any of the cases the problem is the tabs on the earlier cases are wider than the mounting holes in the 8500 cylinder cover. When I bought the 8500 the crankcase was toast so I had to use a 4400-5400 case to save the saw.
