Well, I fixed the pull string problem, it's working fine.

My problem now is, there is no spark! The chainsaw won't start, nor will the spark plug make a spark. Anyone know what the problem could be? It's possible the magneto, but I'm not sure.

Check you kill switch wire. If it's broken or loose and grounded you'll be pulling until your arm falls off. Ohm out your spark plug wire to be sure its good and that it is making good contact with the plug. (get a fresh plug while your at it) Then look at your mag or trigger as a problem. Look for the simple things first.
