So looking at those $$ it would be cheaper to by an R model right... thats if you were buying a new saw of course.


I agree and that is the frustrating part. The "R" model is only $50 more at my local dealers. I dont see why they even order the standard model... I will never buy a standard model again or buy a saw from the dealer that sold me the standard model.
 
Hello all, newb here just wanted to put my 2 cents in. I wish that I would have had those p/n for the side cover n wrap handle a week ago. Ordered everything all together was around 200 with my buddy letting me have the parts at cost! :msp_sneaky: Wanted to add this though cause I saw someone asking about d.p. Mufflers. Stihl d.p. cover is p/n is 1128 140 0801. Got that from my buddy Madhatte! That 460 looks great, im looking forward to posting some pics of my 440 makeover when I figure out how :rock:

The issue with us here in the East, is that Stihl does not supply them to the dealers, therefore most dealers don't even know of the option. If I wanted an R model, they would have to order it from a western supplier.
