And I appreciate that you use logs of substance in your videos. As example the 346 thread- I would be breakin out a 70cc saw when I come to wood that size, but it was nice to see you showing your work and giving a visual demonstration of the benefits of having a woods port done, I mean that 346 held it's own in that log. I'm not a cookie cutter, I look for torque and snot in the cut so I appreciate the videos that really show what the saw has got- not just how quick it can get thru the log.

Thanks, that's the whole idea. I like to put as big of a bar on a saw as I got possible to test it out. As I've said before, the vids are more for me checking my work than they are for showing off.

On this 576 I was watching my tach as I was makeing the cuts after the vid & it was pullin 10,500-11,000 rpm in a 22" oak log. I had to really push on it to bring it down to 10,000. I hope I'm not speaking to soon, but so far this thing makes some good torque.

buy her a new 390XP ported of course

she has no need for one of them- she has access to my Mastermind'd 288xp!

seriously- I bought her a cruise to the Bahamas for our Anniversary, but her father is terminally ill with stage 4 gleo plastoma brain cancer and she wont leave the state. Kari is a stay at home mom and she has to take him to his Doctor's appts and Chemo treatments weekly as her mom works. Cant fault her for that. He is only 51. And at 24 she is a little young to loose her dad. We have 18 monthes to use the cruise. If the time passes b4 we can use it then the time passes. I'll try again on the backside of this time in our life.:cool2:

In about 5 tanks of fuel that saw will really come to life. You'll think it's not even the same saw. If you have time to run it that much you won't be disappointed. I don't think I ever tached the one I had but it seemed like it was pulling more rpms in the cut than my xpw.

Stumpy just wondery have you done any 441CMs and what gains did ya get out of them ?.

Cheers
Andrew

Not yet, but would love to give one a try. :msp_w00t:

I know that it's really to early to cast much judgement on this saw. It'll take some time for the rings to break in & the processor to relearn how to run. So far it has exceeded my expectations.

I was thinking the same thing... I can't wait to run it... I may have to make a trip to stumps...

Come on over.
I'm fixin to go make some chips & sweat, lots of sweat. Already 80* here:msp_mad: I need to put some fuel through this saw, the 562 & the 345. I'll prolly end up goin back into the 562 to adjust the strato timing like I did on the 576.

I lost my older brother last year, he would be 26 aug 18. Its still really fresh in my mind and some days are harder than others. You never imagine you would loose someone that young. We had a hard childhood so we were really close.

I put another tank of fuel through it today & took another vid. It's seems a tad better. I was pushing on it pretty hard. I forgot to put my tach on it though to see what it was turnin in the cut.:dizzy:
Here it is with the 7 pin

The last saw I heard like that thing whapping off its limiter was blue...
And it was an ass kicker...
Sounds like its waking up from surgery pissed!!!

Lets see....
I got 27 seconds stock cut
I got 21 seconds first woods port cut
I got 19 seconds 2nd woods port cut
And then 21 seconds with woods port and 8 pin.
