I never thought I'd hear myself say that I might actually consider an AT saw, especially over my beloved Hilda - 372XP - but this thread has at least nudged me to consider it.

So many saws, so little understanding from the wife........

"Why did you buy another chainsaw? You never even take them all when you log?"

Don't try that one guys it doesn't work. Least it didn't with my wife but she has two degrees she's smarter than me. :bang:

Yeah no kidding!

I saw the part about the 9010 but nothing on the 7900's.

I really want one of these 576AT's, especially after Stumpy's results, it's the lack of local dealer support that has me skittish.

But, it's not like it would stay stock for long.

I was hoping somebody else would answer that question. I don't wanna sound like I'm bragging, but it did feel a bit stronger in the cut, but the testing we did wasn't with the same bar & chain on all of the saws. So we can't officially say witch one was really faster. I would like to point out with all fairness to the 576 that it starts out with a deficit of 4cc's. not much but it should be noted. it also isn't a quadport design, the "carb" is a real bottleneck too. I think the 576 had a 28'' B&C and the Dollies had 24" B&C's. Just trying to get the facts strait.

The only conclusion I can honestly draw from our playing around is that the 576 will perform just as good as a 7900 when ported.

This thread is threatening to force me to add to my stable of Swedish girls and the one German. It looks like I'm going to have to start thinking of another name. I'm one of those weirdo's that names his favorite saws.

395XP = Helga
372XP = Hilda
NE346XP = Heidi
PS5100S = Hannah

AT576XP = ???

I guess I better actually get one first but I definitely has the itis again. And am I the only one that has a certain one in mind for his next purchase for months and months but ends up switching horses midstream because he reads one damn post or thread? Even before I bought my last one - the 346 - I had planning for several years to get a MS361 because I have a hole between 50cc and 70cc - nothing in a 60cc class. So I really am trying to fight this 576 magnetism and get a 60cc class saw. But the Stumpy modded AT576 impresses me as a saw that performs almost like a 80cc stock saw at a lot less weight.

I hope I don't see any MS362 threads as impressive as this 576 . . . . .

The 576 is a 75cc saw. If you are wanting the ultimate in 60cc performance check this out.

Correct 28" bar also should note it's not broke in yet.
