Rainy day in Florida.. We turned in a permit for a 7500 dollar job today.. Big laurel oak.. And about the questions about bidding jobs.. How much do you need to make per day to turn a profit. The main job is customer selection.. Better jobs for better money.. All boils down to advertising

Punctuation police. Can't expect too much from us tree guys. How much per day to make a profit? Too many variables in that "question". Location, length of season, equipment used/needed to do type of work you do, size of crew, etc.

Two man business, no employees, no boom, I shoot for $1,200 per day. Sometimes we're higher, sometimes lower. I usually try to bid jobs by how long I think its going to take vs. chip loads ect.

I also live in an area that $300,000 buys you a very nice house and $600 a day is good money. My formula may not work for many towns in CA or CO.
