I had the same thought. Cranks are different I bet. Different magneto and different clutch.

My oiler need work. The paddle/button thingy is bent and torn.

Gear drive weight is north of 33 3/4#.
No fuel or AF parts.
Couple three pounds heavier than my MS880 w/36".

The 754 crank is the same stroke and the rod journal looks like the same OD. Using a 754 crank takes care of the ignition, clutch, flywheel and starter. Case halves seem to fit in the cylinder base. Biggest issue I see is the cylinder fins on the big bore have to be way trimmed to fit the Bantam housing. Yes, I have both the Pro88 and a 754 as as parts.

My Pro Bow weighed a ton. I have no regrets trading it away. I still have a standard SL5G with a bow to restore.

There is a parts SL-5 on evilbay. Broken off bottom wrap handle mount.

That PTO side cover is broken to hell.
I was fortunate to find one for my gear drive. I had a friend drill/ream for the two locator dowels.
