If you can document that, I'll revise my opinion.
On the other hand, if gas goes to $6.00/gallon, then crashes to $1.75/gallon because there's nobody who can afford $6 anymore, and the toilet paper machines at Treasury have been shut down...I hate to say it, but if gas gets to $7/gal and stays there, that'd put me at $300+ per month spent on fuel alone, just to get back and forth to work. Turning that into $40 more on the power bill instead would cover a lot of a sub-$30k Tesla Model 3 payment.
I eclipsed that fuel bill per month at $4.50 a gallon.... and electric prices have steadily been on the rise as well.Interesting!
While I don't agree with it, if government is going to meddle in private business, removing taxes is definitely the way I'd rather it be done. Those Tesla owners can spend their money far more responsibly than the government can.

I get that this was the entire point all along. Not going to screw myself over just to flip off a politician, though.

Beware teh deflation...

Whatever you do, hang onto your cash. Cash will be king, particularly if/when the massive deflation event hits. Bargains, bargains everywhere!Surely not something I'd do the instant gas hits $7/gal. Wait till after the election and a few months beyond that, at the very least.
Lolcrashes to $1.75/gallon
This quite possibly is the best non-saw related post I’ve seen so far …Depending on how far it goes, spend your cash while it's still worth something too.....
Outdoor diesel smoking chainsaw? What are you smoking?I get it, among the outdoor diesel smoking chainsaw crowd, EVs aren't popular.
Coal…lolAnother thought......How should we generate all the electricity needed for a all electric "green society" I bet the copper mines are looking forward to it
But coal is black.....at least here it is. Never seen green coal but heck there are millions I have not seenCoal…lol
Dmv fees are already too high in most places. In Illinois you are paying tolls to drive on a lot of roads, But your infrastructure is crumbling. So they tax your fuel more and raise vehicle fees across the board. The toll was to pay for the road supposedly, Those roads are 50+ years old in most cases and they continue to rob you, You are so used to it you think it's normal. They will collect all of that money and you will still be driving on potholes. I know, I grew up in So. California, And the voters supposedly would vote for an increase in gas taxes, It would pass and the roads would not be fixed, This has happened many times, They vote on a new gas tax every now and then, But people have short memories. I'm glad I live in a free state now, Where the roads are like glass, THe dmv fees are cheap and so is the cost of living, A true paradise here in So Utah. Gas is about on avg $1.10 a gallon cheaper here than SO Cal.So to those who support electric vehicles do you feel their state yearly registrations should cost more?
I am glad your happy but my question was should owners of electric vehicles pay a higher registration feeDmv fees are already too high in most places.
