Ian, How'd Jennifer like her walking tour of the place? Once she and Emily got together, no one saw much of either of them. Emily said she really liked her and enjoyed walking and looking at pics with her. She thought Jennifer was really nice.

BIG Thank You

Ralph- Thank you for inviting us down. I know we all had a great time down there. Me especially, that was my 1st time runnin for time! Thanks for lunch! Props to the cooks!!
Brad- Thanks for the GREAT pics, even if I did beat you . . .TWICE ;) :ices_rofl:

Everyone, thanks for letting me be the only girl to run for time! I had a blast!

I think it was Andy that said he felt like my chains weren't digging in like they should, so I checked my rakers when I got home. Indeed, they were pretty high. Maybe the next time we get together I can redeem myself a little on the timed cuts. My times were pretty bad as compared to everyone else's. I have heard rumors/rumblings of another GTG in the area maybe later this summer. I need to do a little practicing between now and then. I've not done much cookie cutting and found the up cutting a little awkward.

There... all my excuses in one paragraph. ;)

She had a great time. I was worried that she would be bored but that wasn't a problem at your place. There were plenty of things to do and places to hike. An added plus for you is we hauled about half of your ticks out of Ohio for you. She was picking them off and flicking them out the window all the way back to CC and for half the evening thereafter... LOL She gave me the heebie-jeebies. Every breeze that moved an arm hair had me looking for a tick.

I know why those 361's couldnt catch that 357 now.
361parts.jpg

I took out some of your parts while you wasnt looking. :)
But anyhow the stock 361 I was running with the safety chain and square cutters was only a tenth off the fastest 361. That one fast time on a 361 was a misprint, my stocker ran 7.25 not the bottom 6.30's one.
So I guess we know who was king of the hill that day.

Even though it wasnt running right and had to turn it down  still ain't figured it out, but at least with the old burned up plug I put in it, at least it would go right before i showed up Phew.

Just glad to have met you all and spend the day with good folks.

Hey Brad I see you eyeing that extra 361 cyl in that pic of mine. Not yours either.

Haywire Haywood keep them ticks please, I tried to rep you for that story but couldnt.

hay haywire i got a 7900 that will blow your hair back it runs on alky with 20% nitro just finished it i will be at the next ohio gtg with cut4fun and derek i'll let you try it in the wood:chainsaw:

I refused to run it purely out of self defense. I think I might have offended C4F ever so slightly. :)

Ian

I tried to get out of running that 357 too so I wouldn't want one, but Kevin pushed it on me. After that 5.15 I bet he wished he hadn't let me run it....
it sure is a fun saw to run though. thinking of sending my 026 off for some real modding.

We must have timed the ticks thing just right, but 99% of us stayed on a 100X 50 piece of ground. Jen however, covered pert near 100 acres. I found one on me, and brian after rolling in the grass had 4 or 5 on him. just part of living and playing in the country. we put down killer around the house, but not out in the fields. know all about the feeling like they're crawling all over you though!

those piped saws Derek had were something else, but after thinking about it, that 181 he had was super impressive, it sure is no slouch

Nice thread and great pics

Looks like everyone had a great time and it doesn't get any better than that...

good job

derek is doing a wonderful job of running a saw him and cut4fun those guys are going to be tuff to beat on chainsaw racing real soon good switches and big and strong would like to see these two guys pull the crosscut together and do other events

Cut4fun, your 357XP was the most impressive saw of the day to me. That thing absolutely screams. If I can ever get 180 psi of compression out of mine, I think I'll be happy with my 361. I'm talking with Big Dave and hope to make that happen. He certainly does stand behind his work.

BTW, I haven't found a tick on my yet. Maybe I better start looking before I get Rocky Mountain Fever:ices_rofl:

Thanks for the compliments, Ive cut a LOT of cookies since last summer...they burn nice in the wood burner in our garage :D

EJ, I would like to try a crosscut sometime, you and your son did an great job at chardon. Looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks EJ for the compliment.
I sure would like to try a crosscut someday, but then priced a stock one. OUCH! But sure would be neat to try that, bow saw too , but OUCH! on a good blade. Got 2 throwing axes though. :) and no way in heck I am chopping between my feet. :help: Dang sport ain't cheap for sure, dont know how you do it with all that stuff you have EJ.
