We have a couple of site sponsors that may be able to help you .. (1) chainsawr.com (2) Edge and Engine

If you don't see your part online, email them ...

Good luck!

Hey guys, I think it's time for a Dolmar. I have never owned one. I prefer older saws. What would be a decent example of a potent little saw in the 50 or 60 cc range. I was thinking 116si. I'd like suggestions of what to look for in this cc class. I don't want any of the new models. Thanks fellas.

The 50 - 60cc range is covered by models 111/115/116. The 116si is 60cc with an 'injection' carb. Solidly built and well engineered.

I've owned a 111i and loved it, currenly have a Makita DCS520i (same saw) and a Dolmar PS-6800i.

I'm always looking for these and will give you a heads up if I spot one! :hmm3grin2orange:

That was easy.

I clicked the easy button and called Edge & Engine. My new 133 air filter will be on the way shortly. Thanks for the help. The 133 is my biggest saw and a relative beast with a 24" bar. I also need a muffler for it, as its previous owner, apparently, was Thor. New ones are pricey, so if anyone has a used one, I would be interested. Thanks again.

No muffs on eBay .... you may want to email chainsawr .... I don't know which others will fit.

The 116si is an excellant choice For your 1st Dolmar. I just got one a little while ago and love it. It has plenty of power and the starting system, injection instead if a choke plate, works great. This saw starts better cold than any other saw I own.

I third that. But for the same weight you
could get a 120SI and have more power.

Sachs 109, 110, 111, 115 question?

I am needing some advice with a 115 Sachs Dolmar ignition question. My 115 has a Prufrex brand coil, which has gone out. :frown: I also have a 111i Sachs Dolmar, with a Ducati brand coil on it. So I thought I would switch the coils & be good to go. But the vintages are apparently different, because the Ducati coil has a loop of metal on it that keeps it from being bolted into the 115 case without modifications to one or both pieces.
I found a coil from a 110 on fleabay, I asked which kind it was, he told me it was a Bosch brand coil.
My question is this: Can I mix & match coils & flywheels through these models (apart from the Ducati) or were they brand matched sets? Or specific sets for models?

My 111i IPL (say that fast 10 times) shows 020 143 031 used across the 109/110i/111/115i/PS43/PS52/PS540.

Part number 020 143 040 superceded this for saws 109/110i/111/115i in 9/91.

The flywheel remained the same.

No mention of any specific suppliers. Hope this helps!

PM your email addr to me if you need the IPL.

Can someone tell me what sachs dolmars were rebranded and sold by other companies and which if any show up on the market with any regularity? I've heard of some macs and poulans but I'm not sure which models. Any others? I don't NEED one but...

You may want to search the Mac and the Poulan thread for those answers. The do not show with any regularity; they're actually pretty scarce.

I have been told (not yet seen) that S/D also made saws for Sears.

Thanks Guys, are the 112,113,114 good saws? Are they all closed port non-clamshell?

As far as Dolmar/Poulan goes, Dolmar produced the Poulan 5500, 6000 and S6000 for them. Poulan in turn produced for Dolmar, the 100 Hobby, 101 Hobby, 104 Hobby and I just found out the HD 104.

All three are very good saws, The 112 and 114 are
the same saw with the exception of electronic ign.
on the 114 and colors. The 113 is a newer version
of the two. All are non clam shell motors. They are
well built 50cc saws. A bit heavy compaired to todays
saws. The 113 is a tad lighter with it's plastic fuel tank.
