They all make mistakes. I had a saw picked up Tuesday afternoon and it arrived here at 3.20PM today (Wednesday) I have been sending saws and tools via UPS to Germany lately and they are there in 96 hours.
I’ve bought a number of times from this seller and never had a problem. I buy most of my parts off eBay and you just have to be careful - you have to “learn” how to shop on eBay.

It’s a joke now. I’m in Canada and all shipping goes through eBay. I wanted to order some very specific washers and shims out of Ohio for a turntable. They would have easily fit in an envelope with a stamp. Seller said he had to go through eBay global shipping. $19.75 in freight for $ 4.45 worth of washers.
The seller was BS'ing you. Ebay does not require you to go through them. Quite a few years ago they had a bright idea of trying to promote more US sellers to send internationally. They had warehouses were you send the item and then Ebay was to send it overseas. The problem was they were not bright enough to understand international shipping of chain saws and parts, and the items never arrived. They ended up scrapping the system the last I knew. I do not use the Ebay shipping system at all.
If that is a recent reply then that indicates Ebay is still utilizing the Kentucky warehouse. I will assure you that seller is very uninformed if he believes he has to use their service. Just in the last few months I have sent ebay items to several foreign countries and was never asked to utilize the Ebay service. This might be a dumb question but are you looking at the item on Ebay CA instead of the US site? The shipping on that item to me is $3.75. I checked USPS and 2 ounces to Calgary is $15.75

It is not the weight as much as the size. To mail a letter it must be just that a letter. If you put parts in an envelope that is fine but they have a slot that it must pass through to make sure it does not exceed .250. I highly doubt those parts properly packed will fit through a 1/4 slot. Now if a man wants to gamble so be it. I sent a 084 muffler to AUS a number of years ago and the buyer did not want to sport the $10 for the Priority. It ended up in France. It is $1.45 to Canada under 1/4 and after that a padded envelope goes nuts. I know you were a carrier did you ever work in a sorting center? I am thoroughly amazed at how accurate the sorting machines can be with the crappy handwriting (mine)
My comment wasn't about fees but about sellers not shipping what they claim to have. Yes their fee system sucks, she's been selling on there for well over 20 years and she has seen tons of changes. I'm not sure how they're getting away with some of things they are doing as far as fees. But like I tell people go to town and rent a a building and see what it costs and see how much traffic a person will get, not very much.
Minimum shipping for 1 ounce is now about $3.60 and that's a discounted rate through eBay. By the time a seller puts anything in a 1/4" padded envelope it's no longer 1/4". The least my wife charges to ship anything is $4.75.
