At your age I can see why. :buttkick:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jim!! Hope ya have a good one buddy.
Thanks Steve, I can still swing one if I wanted too but my log splitter wood get jealous. As for age. My doctor is in his early 40's and told me in January that he couldn't keep up with me out in the woods. I can still do a 10 hour day out there, sometimes 12 hours.

I knew it was someone on here 😆.
Sure yours didn't look that bad. I would have either had them push it in a bit, or tossed 10-20 bags to the front, doesn't take too long and makes it ride much better.
Mine wasn't quite that bad. They couldn't push it forward like I wanted them to. My tractor wouldn't lift it off my truck until I removed a 15 bags and put them on the backend of my mower deck for ballast. LOL
I saw my friend yesterday and he still has the pole clips and saws from the bucket truck, but he said he is pretty sure they are pneumatic. I’ll check?
Check to see if they are Greenlee Fairrmont. They are the most common from what I found when I started looking up info on these tools. More than likely they are hydraulic.

Okay fellers, here it is.

I might be a redneck....

I really don't like loading em like that, but due to our hill it's got to be done.
It actually tows & steers just fine.... it just looks stupid.
I've seen a lot worse than that driving on the roads.

purdy truck man:cool::cool:. throttle body injection or FI ?

looks like an ok laod to me. that long wheel base really helps with stability. I will always have a long bed for that reason. iv got a buddy with a single cab, short box, dually Ram 3500 and he tows a 30' cigarette boat with it. looks silly.

Good on you Jim, Happy Birthday, and welcome to my age!

Five years ago, I would have made the same statement you made, but not now. Not that I can't do a full day, but if I do I pay for it.

Last year I had back problems and hernia surgery, and it seems to take a long time to recover from the "inactive period".

I can still do whatever I want, but I try not to do it all day long. I find it is better if I break up the day, so I'm not paying for it the next day.

I also injured my shoulder and could not pull my bow back. I've been doing a regular exercise routine every morning for my back, legs and arms this year I'm up to 5 pullups (from 0 - palms facing away) and I'm able to shoot my bow again (65 lb pull). So, I'm making progress and coming back, just not as fast as I'd like.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Since 2019 I have had 3 knee surgeries which also included a full knee replacement on my left knee after they took too much cartilage out of it. Almost two years ago I had to have my right shoulder rotator cuff put back together. It looked like broken spaghetti in there. Now it is all twined up and feels so much better. You are doing good on the recovery. I don't know if I can pull my compound bow back. I can lift 100 pounds but the strength in my arm above horizontal is still low. After surgery I was told to be lucky to get 60% use of my arm back. I beat the odds. So far have no problem starting my 394xp.

I don't know if it's tbi or fi.....It's a '97 with the 5.7 so maybe that answers it.

I like the long wheel base rigs, they do seem to handle loads better.....seems that way to me anyway.

Dodges always look silly....lol

Well in all fairness, a Dodge probably can't any worse than a Ford......😉

Oh that's right, you're another one of them "Ford guys" 🤣

I used to be a Ford guy, but when I got my license and actually needed to go places (outside of the shop) I had to give em up.

The real problem is, I'm just not a good enough machanic to own Ford or Dodge....😎

Heck, I'd rather drag a ford then drive a chevy....
Well, at least you admit them fords must be towed if'n you want to go anywhere in em.

They do look really cool being towed around by a Chevy......lol

I really was a die hard Ford guy growing up.... but after about a half dozen of em I just couldn't afford it anymore and switched to GM.
I really liked my 86 ranger but it went through two automatic transmissions in a very short time.....same thing with my 91 exploder.
My 94 7.3 idi crew cab was my favorite, but the clutch went out in the middle of Texas towing a 36' trailer, and then the clutch pedal also had a very annoying habit of falling off at the most inconvenient times.... It had the injector pump die, and the steering gear box also puked on me (all within the same 25k miles)

I've yet to destroy a GM transmission, and have not had any significant brake downs in 500k miles with em, and over 300k of those miles have been towing.

I've never bought a Dodge, because I couldn't find a used one that wasn't seriously broken down.

Man your full of it gosh dang it!!!!🤣

To be fair.

All new trucks suck equally in their own way. Ford checy and dodge have had their years to shine and years that suck.

Well right now all the new ones suck as far as im concerned.

Very well said, and I totally agree.....just drive what works and give the other guys a hard time about their choice....🤣

For me, it's GM full size rigs from the late 90's through about '08 ish.....the newer ones might be okay as well, but I'm too cheap to own one of those.

A 7.3 powerstroke with manual gear box is one Ford I would be willing to own.
