If someone played with the shift pressure it will stall out before it goes into second stage. Some pumps you can set, typically around 700psi (ish) to low volume high pressure. Thays how we rock tiny little engines with 21gpm... on 5" cylinders backed imwith 3k psi...
Thanks bud.
I tried to turn it up a bit at the control, helped slightly, but not much.
The carb is the type with no adjustments and the governor doesn't seem to be kicking the rpm up much. I can't remember if I cleaned this carb or not, but I do remember pulling the cover off it and looking at it, iirc the governor linkage was messed up and I was hoping that would have fixed it. It didn't.
I may just have to buy another one and let someone else have all the fun with this one lol.

When dealing with the oak out back earlier this yr I was thinking, man is this stuff heavy, and it takes at least two years to season. I really like my black locust :sweet:.
This pile of oak was bucked and thrown in a pile may of 2019 and the big rounds are still wet in the center. :dizzy: just finally started to get to it March of this year. for me....oak is no fun all around until you get to burn it.

Oh and that big colorful stump that you said you wanted is still waiting for you:D

I replaced my Mauls with X-27s and I doubt there is much that I have not split with an X-27 that anyone is going to split with a maul.

The X-27 is so much lighter than a maul I can keep going with it for a lot longer and get much more done. It works well for me.

I've split some huge rounds with the X-27, and this tough grained Chestnut Oak.

You eat the eggs or the ducks? Or both?

Duck eggs are tasty
Just the eggs.... never have been able to acquire a taste for duck meat... plus they're a pain to process.
I don't care for duck eggs, but my son thinks they're way better than chicken eggs so he eats em all.

My older daughter sells duck eggs. I love the taste, but I'm allergic to them ... I get violently ill, so unfortunately, I can't eat them.

I was dry heaving on the side of my house so badly I almost called 911 when I started to recover.

If you are allergic, your reaction will get progressively worse fast. My first reaction to them was relatively mild.

My daughter tells me they are the opposite of chicken eggs, and that if you are allergic to one you are likely not allergic to the other.

That could come in real handy.
Neat you can power it right off the tractor.
I've been wanting a smaller/light gas pole saw that doesn't extend, hoping for a nice echo to come up on craigslist for cheap. I have the stihl HT101, which I'm pretty sure they make fixed length version of, it's been great; although it started acting up last weekend. I'm hoping it's just the linkage to the carb, seems like it as it wouldn't come down off a higher rpm last weekend, but worked flawlessly yesterday.
I saw my friend yesterday and he still has the pole clips and saws from the bucket truck, but he said he is pretty sure they are pneumatic. I’ll check?

Saw this one the other day, but it doesn't beat the truck pulling another truck that had a car on a tow dolly I saw last week lol.

That's what my rig looks like towing logs...... it's the only way I can pull our stupid hill.....still slipping in low gear and tearing chunks outta the rear tires .....
I've been avoiding showing the truck in the pictures because I figured some wiseguy would put me in the wtf pics thread.....lol.

I'll have to get a pic on my next load.

I collect Collins, I have a brand new double my Dad bought back in the 50’s or 60’s. He used to buy them by the case, and this one never got used. I like the head on that one and nice job on the handle. No offense but I’m not big on the handle being proud to the eye. Old American axes didn’t come that way. I have a few European ones that do. I think it’s a BBR thing. Anyway, I’d love to find a single that heavy. My favorite is a Collins 4 1/2.

I’d put it in the WTF thread, but everyone would accuse me of posting pics of my own stuff!

Now,at my backyard ...
( Electric saws are nice and silent ,when your neighborhood is crowed enough )
My main firewood is strawberry tree ( arbutus unedo ) .As good as white oak ,if not slightly hotter burning ( but lacks just a bit the burning duration of white oak ) .
Olive tree,three-four different kinds of oak ,almond tree ,cherry tree and wild pear tree makes up for the rest of firewood.

Nice looking logs! What do you burn them on?

They look short, like the ones that are common in the UK. European stoves seem to be a lot smaller than American ones, with shorter fireboxes.
