A slot across? That might be what I started doing after I lubed up the outside of the saw a couple of times. I just peel the foil back maybe a little less than 1/5th of the way then squeeze the bottle to force the oil out. When the oil level reaches the neck of the tank stop squeezing and the flow stops virtually instantly thanks to the negative (relative) pressure in the bottle.
i have a specialized vocabulary i use for times like that!!!! 🤬

G'day fellers,

Out to the farm again this morning. Picked up a load of bonfire junk and poles first. Or at least I have a picture of a load of junk and poles :innocent:

Then I picked up the remaining rounds from previous scrounges.

Then I went down to another log I knew of, just needed to make sure it was ugly enough to scrounge. Check.

Zipped through it with Limby

Split enough to make up the load once I reorganised what was already in there. Also made a start on splitting for the next load.

Looks awesome.
How thick dig you go.
Are you going to cut it.
I just cleaned up where the trucks did their clean outs tonight, so I had concrete on the brain. When thinking of all the money I've made this yr the other day, it took me a bit to remember the concrete, not sure how I forgot that :envy::envy::envy::envy::envy:. I do remember something about a saying, went something like "quality remains long after price is forgotten", glad the concrete is still holding up .
The forms were 5" tall, but I fudged the middle a bit lower where the lift will eventually be going. 1/2" rebar around the perimeter and mesh throughout the center. 4000psi with fiber. Didn't really want the fiber, but the goofed up the first time and had it in so I just went with it for the second half. I'm not planning on running a cut line down the middle of the pads. I shouldn't have an issue with settling and the pad wanting to crack. Bedrock is pretty shallow up here, the nasty clay we have packs rock hard, plus I have compacted 2a on top of that. Most of the houses back here don't have full basements, or have walk out basements/crawl spaces from having to blast/jack hammer so I should be good.

Might take a while until it comes up again, but I'll let you know. Most likely it will since I don't plan on selling all my stihls right away, especially that little ripper(the ms200 rearhandle), or the ms201 rear handle, or the ported 241, or the ported 261, or the MM 462, or the pole saw ;).
Your learning.
Some people can figure out flippy caps, some cant!!!
Yes, usually operator error. I always give em a tug before flipping down the flipper.

getting late. i need a cold drink!!

Reminds me of a real story. One of the jerks I went to HS with gets pulled over for speeding with his Z-28 Camaro. The cop asks him: "Are you going to a fire".

The wise A$$ responds: "Does it look like I have a ladder tied to the roof of my car?" Ticket ... Ticket ... Ticket!!!

maybe i should grind. don't think chipper approves of my filing!!!! lol

If that were missing a few cutters it would look as bad as the chain with which I tried to cut through an embedded J-Hook while using my Granberg mill... 😉

Had to throw that out there before the rest of my day is consumed with family affairs...

Which one of those saws has a front tensioner and spring AV lol.
I hardly run old 242 as it is, hate that front tensioner, there's a couple reasons I have no interest in owning (other than to sell) a 394/5, that front tensioner is one of them 😉.

But maybe I could get some to hang on the wall 😆.

Had a good day for firewood even though I didn't add any to the stacks. Picked this up last night.

And he threw this in for free with the splitter (pic from the website, but not sure this one was ever used.)

And gave the splitter a quick practice run today on knotty pine and twisted box elder.

And got these in the mail - I had ordered 12 but got this with the note.

Oh, happy day!
Is that for straightening those crooked splits 🤣.
Where'd you get the files at, that worked out to be a great deal.
Oh yeah, congrats on the splitter ;).
