Had a really strange thing happen to my Kioti NX4510 yesterday. I went out to use it and noticed a bolt missing on the left front wheel and one next to it backed out 1/4". At 1000 hours, 100 hours ago, I did check all the wheel lugs just to make sure that they hadn't loosened up. All the front lugs were one 1/2 turn loose. WTF is all I have to say about this. The one lug that was backed out a 1/4" couldn't be turned by hand. These wheels are flat faced mounted centered on the rim hub. Last week the lugs were all there as I am always looking at them. I will look today for my missing lug nut. The back lugs were all tight. I haven't done any real loader work in quite a while and surely nothing that would loosen lug nuts.

Did someone try to steal your wheels? And got disturbed or spooked before they managed it?

Knowing that I had checked them for the 1st time at 1000 hours that thought has crossed my mind. I will say this
I have a neighbor that I have had a huge legal battle with back in 2006 - 2010 over the illegal discharge of water and illegal pipes that he installed on his property draining his water onto our land. Back in 2017 he threatened to kick my ass when I was outside a Selectboard meeting where I had a meeting with the select board on a Tree Warden issue. I was theTree Warden up until a year ago. He thought I was there to see the Selectboard to try and ruin his reputation. A year prior he bullied the Town's Conservation Commisssion Agent that was a woman. He didn't want her to speak about the new town bylaw that the Conservation Commision wanted to have. I turned him into the Selectboard for his harrassment of her. Anyway, I filed a criminal complaint against him and he lied to the police. He blamed me for that altercation and said that I was trying to cover my azz. I provided a witness statement to corroborate my claim which did not go over well for him. A year ago last May I helped a woman defeat him for the town Selectboard. He to this day has not gotten over being defeated. A few years ago I lost the motor in my tractor. Fuel analysis said that something other than fuel was added to the diesel. My cylinders got washed down and my compression was below the low. The pistons were slapping in the cylinders. CAT ran the analysis. They could not determine what it was that was in the fuel. They suggested that it was gasoline. I hadn't put fuel in my tractor for over a week. I used it almost daily that week chipping brush on our property. One day it just started running like crap and I called a dealer to bring it in. At an idle it sounded fine. As soon as you revved it up it sounded like hammering inside the motor. I know for a fact that whatever it was was not done by me. That cost me a new motor in my tractor. Yes, I do believe that something happened here. I don't overuse or abuse my tractor to loosen two front wheels in 100 hours. I will be watching them a lot more closely in the future. I can always tell if my fuel cap has been tampered with now..

Exactly. Alot of trial and error. My first two builds having just a fte issue is not too bad at all. Extractor or recoil spring but also the breech will not take an empty case telling me it may be out of spec too.
Half the fun of building one!
Hi, Wow. Can you please tell me where to buy the frame kit and about how much it cost?

Thank you, Indexmill.
It's a versa tube summit series building. Both my uncle and cousin have them and have been very happy with them. I will say I'm the first of us to actually put a pad down. Both of theirs are more car port style with the tin running long way. This has gerts and perloins so the tin will run like normal. Should be much more ridged. I ordered the kit back in February. Took a few weeks till they shipped it. Had it sent to my uncles shop so shipping was "free." (Actually its included in the price, but whatever.) With tax it was $5500.00 and some change. So far its been like adult kenex going up. Everything slides together then gets screws to secure it. I did add the extra braces and the knee braces.
Homemade boom pole, LOVE IT!!!
Someone posted something similar a while back, I thought it was a great idea and had the 6x6 and scrap 2x4 laying around anyway. Took it from a 3 man job to a 1 man with a Japanese boom lift job. Worked real well.

For those who have had to listen to me gripe about my miserable experience with my knee replacement, I finally have a good news story. I was able to get out on the court and play basketball on Wednesday night. It's a 30 and over league I've been running for 25 years, so it's not super competitive, but it is full court (and it's is getting harder every year to keep up with them 30 year old kids.)

For the entire 10 months after the initial surgery I told them something was wrong, and they kept insisting that it was "normal". 5 doctors and my physical therapist all disregarded what I was saying: it was not MY normal. Many calls, visits, tests, Xrays, scans, 2nd/3rd/4th opinions basically got me nothing. Anyway, after 10 months I finally had arthroscopic surgery to remove scar tissue and other tissue in the joint. The next day I had 30° more range of motion than I had since the initial surgery. I'm at 16+ months now, though I think the first 10 months were wasted - it was difficult to do anything but sit with my feet up. So no ball, very minimal firewooding, difficulty with stairs, and even just driving longer than 10 minutes was a huge challenge.

Since arthroscopic I've been able to do a lot more, including Wheelbarrow Therapy™ as you may have noticed. My knee is still not awesome, but at least I feel that there may be more improvement. At least I'm hoping there will be.
That's great to hear!!!!!!!!

I think a few motion detection trail cameras would be a good investment!

I built a white oak stool today from the leftover wood I had from the hunting stand project.

Also, a few blocks for my 2 year old grandson!

Man, that just plain sucks. I'd hate to have to live like that. Always having to worry, or be so cautious on my own property. I'd absolutely have trail cams up and hidden in spots all over my property if I were you.

Grab the wife and come on up for a few days in February. Still gets plenty cold here! :)
Thanks for the invite.
One of my best friends moved up there and left me down here under the bridge a few yrs ago. He bought a place with a few small rentals a gas station and another home, so far he's liking it a lot. What he hasn't been liking is driving between there and 40 min north of Grand Rapids every other weekend because his boy is still living down here and in school, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
I got a great sense of humor, helps me get through the day. I deal with upset people all day long. Haven’t been able to get parts to fix customers cars for weeks now. Can’t wait for the UAW strike to be resolved!!!

In saw and woodstove news. No fire tonight, boss lady says not necessary
That's certainly a tool that's needed in this clown world.
I saw those guys out down in Lansing mi, I used to love driving over their picket lines, they'd get so pissed at me  . What's funnier yet is that I wasn't union when they were working, and I wouldn't be union after the strike:lol:. I've hauled so much steel when they were striking in the past(not just to their plants), noticed today the trucks were lined up at one of the places I used to haul into a lot in the way distant past. Funny thing is the name of the city, Sawyer :). Here that @Sawyer Rob theres a city named after you lol.

My tractor sits in my driveway on the opposite side of my pickup. It is blocked from view of our house. I'll take care of that issue soon enough. Everyone is born with an azzhole. Some of us our unfortunate to have one nearby. I couldn't find the missing bolt anywhere. There are too many leaves out there. One th iij ng I notice is that the rim is torn from the lock washer when it backed out. Right side at 2:30.

All right guys… Here’s Zoggers ported 394. I feel bad selling it, but it does not get used in Minnesota. If you were on the site long enough to know him, I’ll give you a deal. Otherwise I’m going to put it in the trading post if nobody on here grabs it. All I know is it originally was ported by somebody out on the West Coast and then one of the saw builders on here a while back opened it up for him and said it looked great and it apparently has finger ports. I don’t have a lot of comparison but it cuts much stronger than any other saw I’ve ever ran.

Why get rid of it? I'm not selling ANY of my saws anytime soon. But that's just me I guess.
