End of the first day, lodge had 5 good bucks

Next day I smoked a big doe and this guy got a decent buck. Wednesday this youngster shot a little buck, but he was happy as it was his first deer ever. Nice little 6 point.

25guys in the lodge, I feel blessed to have taken two nice bucks and a doe

Well, I flew into Charlotte NC, and some generous person in the airport gave me, at no charge, the whu-hon flu! AND, it really kicked myazz for several weeks.

Although I feel pretty good now, I have no stamina and have only been doing little piddly jobs, but with sunny 75 out, I decided to run my BSM.. So, off I go to get this "big ugly" and load it on the mills deck,

I need construction lumber, so I milled 3-1/2" and 5-1/2" thick slabs, off the log,

I then load them back on the deck, up on edge, and start taking off the lumber I need,

I don't care about any "wayne" on the boards, as all of this lumber will be used to build firewood boxes, and it's not important at all if it's not hi-grade lumber,

and here's what I got from that log,

It took me a looooong time to get that lumber as I had to stop and rest over and over but at least I got it done!

I was wondering where you went to. Glad to see that you are feeling better. Earlier this year my wife and I caught it. I had a nagging cough for weeks afterwards.

About any brand that has ring terminals should work. I like the noco and battery tender brands.
Battery Tender 3 AMP Car Charger - Automotive Switchable 6/12V, Fully Automatic and Maintainer for Cars, SUVs, Trucks 6V/12V, 022-0202-COS https://a.co/d/bFDjySV
There's also no reason you can't cut the gator clips off and put your own ring terminals on.

NOCO GENIUS2D, 2A Direct-Mount Onboard Car Battery Charger, 12V Automotive Charger, Battery Maintainer, Trickle Charger, Float Charger and Desulfator for Marine, ATV, Truck and Deep Cycle Batteries https://a.co/d/elSqCaY

The Noco is my preference, but I have both brands in use currently.
In your experience will the rings actually work between the battery and the cable connectors? I read comments on several listed that they didn't fit the side mounts? Some indicated they were only intended to fit under the pinch bolt for the top mount cables...

P.S. This is another one of those black holes that has all but kept me off this site for months! LOL

How about one that plugs into the cigarette lighter, my buddy got a cheap one like that for his older mother as it was very easy for her to operate
Hmmm.... Interesting idea. First I'd have to figure out if the lighter was one of the things disabled! 🙄

Tapping into the wealth of vehicle knowledge here... Does any company make a decent direct mount trickle battery charger that will work with side mount batteries? I've looked for hours but have little faith in an off brand $10 unit... the only one that by description will work.

There is a parasitic drain in my mother's 2001 Chevy Blazer that cannot be found... This happened before and everything that could be un-enabled was un-enabled and a couple grounds were replaced... That worked for a couple years and now the problem is back. At age 88 now is not the time to buy her a new vehicle... After driving the Blazer for 22 years she'd never figure a new one out...
My 04 Envoy would at times go dead . Could never find a draw but i figured out it always happened with the key in the ignition . Since then I take the key out every time I park it. And it’s not done it since .

I don’t know how you guys do it.

I’ve been trying to get some stuff out of my garage, and it is just a nightmare to sell things locally.

I’ve sold a few saws on here. They are relatively easy compared to the absolute tire kickers and Timewasters you get when offering items locally.

If I didn’t want to reallocate this cash towards purchasing a new boat, I would just give all this **** away because it would be easier than trying to deal with these people.

I wish it was that simple! The key is never left in this vehicle. The primary problem originally was the door ajar switch on the driver's side was broken but there were other draws and a couple bad grounds. Ugh...

Nicely done Matt
Thanks bro, it’s actually quite humorous. All the other guys there are in modern hunting gear with sent control, and these high end guns and I’m wearing blue jeans and old Woolrich shirt, rusty, crusty, old, Winchester, rifle, shooting good old 30 odd six. End of the first night, they were like “blue jeans, guy again “ 🤣🤣

I've fastened all kinds of thing to side batteries with ring terminals. Most you'd have to do is ditch the factory bolts and use longer ones. Just one ring shouldn't affect anything.

Need the lighter plug to be hot all the time for that style to work. Pretty easy ti check if you have a cigarette lighter in it yet.

Congrats on your hunt! Just goes to show you don't need the latest and greatest to get results.

If the seat unplug doesn't fix it, you could always install a battery disconnect switch. Right on the fender redneck style! 😂
