Tight for sureThere's something not right there. Tight chain, squished bar rails?
What kind of muffler mod do you have on your 262xp?Oh, and the 262 runs!!!! Yay!
Put some gas in it, let it idle for about 30 seconds
Going to measure the squish
It had 200psi after letting it run a little!!
I’m not sure, it’s an empty can with big old discharge port. It was ported by Dr Al about 8-10 years ago. Ran real strong, then I was cutting in single digit weather and she went lean. What kind of muffler mod do you have on your 262xp?
This one was done by Jason Egan in ID. Nate's old saw.I’m not sure, it’s an empty can with big old discharge port. It was ported by Dr Al about 8-10 years ago. Ran real strong, then I was cutting in single digit weather and she went lean.
Had enough other saws I put it in the shelf for a bit
The video of the saw with the tight chain is a 562, its stock. Just pieced it together from two saws.
What’s the suggestion on the 562’s?? Drill a half in hole to add a dual outlet??
272. Cuz I already got the 372 project doneThere are people out there that will pay good money for a really nice 272xp and pre x-torq 372xp. The 372xp will pull $500. The 272xp will do $450.
Awesome. I’ll pm you my addressOh, and the 262 runs!!!! Yay!
I try to keep that before 10pm…but…my shop is well insulated so…My wife loves hearing chainsaws late at night

Now that's gotta have a bark to it .
Yea , it works well , thoes 550,562 are way to restrictive, no reason for them to be like that, but manufacturers think differently,Now that's gotta have a bark to it .
But I bet it woke it right up. Muffler mod is the quickest/ cheapest way to more power on the 550/562, when ported aggressively, they are down right violent .
@Sawdust Man will be along shortly to fix that.Wow this thread used to be so easy goin. Now it's just full of tension. Time to loosen up guys.
Good thing. We don't need a bunch of folks getting hit over the head with cast iron pans. Ouch!@Sawdust Man will be along shortly to fix that.
Musta been yer lucky day.I cut some fire wood yesterday. I was pretty amazed the saw even started and ran with a stock muffler.
So that's what farwood looks like after using square ground chain on a saw.Firewood pic so the thread doesn't get changed to Husky repair (and other stuff).
