I bought a Trek 850 also way back and passed it on to my son many years ago when I bought a Trek 930. They are great bikes.

Only downside is the tires are to narrow, unless you ride on hardpack , I use to use similar tires on regular bike , till I got a fat bike, it’s a totally different thing

Why not motor oil, or is it just used motor oil you won't use.
Also why diesel with it.
Trans fluid is one of my favs to get the bonfire going, it burns very hot, just don't get all that much of it.
I won't use used motor oil because of all the "nasties" that builds up in used motor oil that trans-hydraulic oil doesn't have.. Also, used motor oil just seems to leave a lot more of a film on top of the wood that I hate getting on everything! (If my wife kicks me out, I want to be able to sleep up off the ground! lol)
Diesel is also added so the oil penetrates deeper into the wood and that really helps to make the wood last a lot longer, I just don't want the oil to sit on top for months.

I stayed up late last night. Beautiful and crystal clear but no Aurora.
Don't use that transmission fluid to start fires, cut it 50/50 with acetone for the best penetrating fluid. Mix it with kerosene, mineral spirits and acetone for great gun cleaning fluid and 50/50 with kerosene for gun oil.

On my stock 50cc mtronic and autotune saws I run 18x325 semi, that way I can get at least 2 tanks out of them unless I hit metal or totally mess up and hit a rock or concrete
. Ported 50s get 20x3/8 and they will hold up to a lot more abuse, so they last at least two tanks. The only time I normally dull a sharp chain other than hitting metal, is when flush cutting stumps.

I get that. I sent a bunch of semi down to Georgia with a saw yesterday, told him to use it on dirty wood. If I cut a lot of nasty wood off a pile, I'd run 404 semi, it last long time.
Rather buy x-cut for the price, and it's way smoother out of the box.
yes, every year and I usually check the chimney twice a year. Although since I went to the insulated stainless chimney I doubt that it's nessisary to inspect it twice a year. Since it's my only heat source for the house I try to keep it in good repair.
Have you tried the chain yet ? in clean wood IMO it’s faster than X - cut , X - cut was the fastest in .325 till I tried 23RS Pro , the cutter profile not like regular RS , The C83 is the fastest outta the box 3/8 pitch, Then if all else fails, bring the big stuff, LolI usually use the rs amateur
