Where the problem comes in is, NOT all of the axles are created equal and not all of them are "one-way" axles...

Most of the axles were pulled out after delivery and went back under a new mobil home for another delivery. Those axles can be used for equipment trailers, and there use to be a mfg. here that did exactly that, I have one of their trailers.

The tires, they are one-way tires, but good ones can be bought.

I've replaced bearings and seals in mine. and they are a ******* size. Quite certain it's rated as a 5,200lb. axle.

Those tires and axles are not supposed to be used on equipment trailers. They were made for one time usage and marketed as motor home items with a big MH on the sidewalls. The brake systems on the axles are not like equipment trailer axles.
Mine do not have brake assemblies. The tires say "For mobile Home Use Only" on the sidewall, but I can't read it from the cab of my pickup at 55 mph, so I'd say she's golden.

Took the day off on Monday to go fish striped bass. My buddy had reported a hundred fish day between two guys the day before ,mostly on the smaller side mind you , but still 20" to 25" schoolies. So I decided to go with him. Well, we had a big cold front come in that night and we got there to find that the fish had shut right down. We only ended up catching one. I did manage to put a positive note on the day after I brought the boat home, walking an old logging road.20241028_183443.jpg

Too bad the fishing shut off. I know that feeling!

Nice brace of ruffs! Pretty gun too. I'm gonna guess Browning 725 Sporting 20 gauge.

The axles in mine are rated 6000 each, and I haven't had to replace anything in mine. I have at least 6 more "spare" axles around here if I ever need to...

Maybe next time you will get a box of .222 Magnum..... they are hard to find, so you could probably TRADE for 2 boxes 0f .223!
All this .22 talk made get out the .22 hornet. I still have the H&R Topper given to me by Grandad. Single shot, what a joy to shoot.. I think I'm gonna hunt a bit with it.. Ammo is pricey!!

Thanks man! Ruffies are probably my favorite wild table fare. Very close on the shotgun and to be fair the pic was not focused on it. Browning Citori 525 sporting in 12ga. 20241101_205055.jpg20241101_204715.jpg

@svk whats a job you can turn off??

I’ll be on “vacation” in a deer blind and get phone calls from work. Or be at the beach with the wife and kids.

One time, I pulled the car over and got out because I didn’t want the family to hear my vocabulary

The worst, I was pulling into the cemetery to bury my grandmother, boss calls with “where are you, I have Mr XYZ in my office and he is upset”

I came uncorked. Lost my mind!!! The day prior he and I drove his truck towing my trailer showing him the trailer brakes work just fine and it’s not his truck but his trailer. He went home, tied his broken trailer again and then came back convinced it’s his truck.

I must have dropped the F bomb 20 times all F him, that mother F

Whole time boss had me on speaker. Never had to deal with Mr XYZ again. Boss asked him if he and I really took that drive together then excused him from the dealership then apologized for forgetting why I took the day off. I hung up and the. Apologized to my wife and kids for daddy talking like that.

I wish, WISH I could turn it off for a week….

If you can do it without losing your job ignore the calls. If I feel like answering a call I will, if not go pound sand. I'll call back when I feel it. Being out in the sticks helps, I can always say the call didn't go through. Until you pay my phone bill and pay me for all the time I spend on your phone call you can gfy. My time is exactly that, my time. I'll gladly answer phone calls from coworkers but the "bosses" hell naw. My immediate boss and several other local managers are plagued by stupid, pointless cellphone calls from a stupid, pointless manager night and day, no way in hell will I sign up for that.

Nice looking shotgun. Just picked up a Weatherby Sorix yesterday. Been eying it for a couple days at the store. Pulled the trigger, metaphorically speaking, yesterday, cause I sold three guns to a buddy that I never shoot anymore. Hopefully I can go get two cords of wood today, so I can go duck hunting tomorrow. Hopefully my second elk tag comes in by next weekend so I can get another elk in the freezer for the winter as well.

After the first couple of times my boss called me wanting me to come in on my day off I just stopped answering the phone. Worked like a charm.
