Had an interesting conversation with my son last night. He got home from school, basically tossed him in the car and ran down to my logging buddies place. Asked him how his day was, he said his teacher was sad because of the election. I was a bit p.o. about that, as I strongly feel personal politics have zero place in school out side of political science/ history class. He went in to say she just told them that this is how the system works, the person you vote for doesn't always get elected. My boy claims that was as much as she said. If so, I guess that's OK. Still kinda annoyed me, but oh well, glad it wasn't worse then that.
Well, we got the truck all finished up, went to fit the pole in the bunks and had to move the loader out of the way..... never thought about the grapple bed and making sure we had enough room for it to sit in the bed right, since the last bunk is the same size cross tube.... long story short, this bed is 8" longer, so we split the difference front to back, which put the last bunk even with the rear of the frame, which changed the pivot point for the grapple bed. So now when you go to lower the boom, the grapple doesn't rotate around the tube right and catches. 
neither of us ever gave that a thought. So, we're going to have to lower the bed plate down. Which means I need to remove some wiring for the lights that go through a pipe that attaches to the bed plate.
Not a difficult job, but really put a damper on our mood. Guess it technically only matters when the truck is empty, and you can still chain the grapple down to the back bunk, but definatly not ideal. We'll fix it here this afternoon.

He's 6, so not really interested in politics just yet lol. All he knows is the guy dad voted for got elected or "in" as he keeps telling everyone.
