Things like that are unfortunate. Your also run into family members not wanting to let go of anything too. There is a piece of property that my grandfather owned that was originally part of a tract of land from the land grant system from when the colonies were settled.

I showed strong interest in wanting to take it on and continue farming it but some people are just stubborn and nothing could be worked out. I am the only one that would be interested in not flipping it for a quick cash grab but I can't afford to buy my sister out of it when the time comes as its in a prime development area so I just try not to think about it.

I ended up buying my own piece of land with a 1880 something house on it

I’m beyond blessed with the Farm my pal lets me hunt. His grandfather knew his one grandson would never part with the property so he left it to my pal Joe. I’m sure there were some upset relatives, but Joe… he was one happy fella. I met Joe 15 years ago and we hit it off. I remember the first time he showed me “his gramps farm”. Since he has taken ownership he has really focused on cleaning up some of the fields to get more hay out of them.

Installed some wheel spacers on the 68 the rear tires got lost in the wheel well . Common issue with 67-68 Chevy trucks the rear is about an inch narrower than the 69 up trucks

Also got the Chevy blanket today for a make shift seat cover

I’m going to order another and have them sown together so I can make an actual skin for the seat

I periodically combat sciatic nerve pain. They wanted to take a disc out of my back 4 years ago and I told them to fly a kite. I do an exercise routine almost every morning that usually keeps things in check, but lately I've been suffering. Have been going crazy wondering why nothing I do to get rid of the pain is working ... then I remember, I had a physical late last month.

I always say "no" to any vaccines (covid, flu, etc.) but my Doc convinced me that I should get the pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine, that it was very effective and had very few side effects. Well, I just got done researching the side effects and they include fatigue, muscle pain and joint pain!

Side effects from a vaccine like pneumococcal pneumonia are similar but more mild than the disease itself. If you're still feeling it a month later, I would suspect something else.

I got the flu vaccine and shingles vaccines at the same time. I was pretty miserable for about a week. OTOH, I had the flu 2 years ago, and tore my retina from coughing. Getting that fixed was WAY worse than the shot. Shingles is another un-fun thing, but when I had it not near as bad at what I had witnessed. Probably worse than the vaccine, though. I'll never get two at one time again, though.

My doc and I spoke about pneumonia vaccines. His take is that at 63 and otherwise healthy, he would wait. I've survived several bouts of pneumonia over the years, but not that type. Most are secondary infections. Of course, it's something I consider, my great grandfather died from pneumonia. at the age of 95, in 1959. Today it would be curable. The pneumococcal type is much harder to cure, so it's a risk benefit thing on your part.

It wasn't the name itself my wife rolled her eyes at so much as the reference. Our other labs name is Bo - think Dukes of Hazard. Wife has a pretty good sense of humor but even she thought it was cheesy. Like I told her, it's just the good ol'boys......
